How common is it to get upgraded to the Atlantic Suite at the ST Regis?
Some people seem to get suites there like they give em away for free, but I have never had such luck.

2. Sat down in Cafe Vert. Waited 10 minutes. No waiter came to table.
Had the exact same experience! Unfortunately. Hard to believe itís possible, but they have even worse service than Cinne Citta (which is where I went afterwards).

Well a most important point about this discussion here. Every restaurant in teaneck I discussed with them about thier business they told me they rely and stay in business with a big percentage of out of towners , especially the high end restaurants there are in business only from out of towners like monsey and monroe customers specifically and all kind of just passbyers or guest from all over and employees and businesses in the area during the day for lunch and early dinner ,one high end restaurant told me many years ago that about 75 percent of his business is from out of town, that's the only reason most restaurants have CY , if not they wouldn't have CY at all
Interesting, could be. Makes sense for the high-end. Not enough locals who eat out at a steakhouse every night. Same for the city - I'm sure most business is not from Manhattanites. But the small pizza places? I dunno... I often recognize enough people in Poppys, EJs, Sammys when I go.

Poppys did renovate
And they don't serve chalav yisroel if you don't ask , not all milky products they have chalav yisroel,
And I think its very wrong for restaurants to have both , its confusing and not possible to mix up
I know that this is kinda of renovated, still looks like a blah pizza place. Didn't know they serve C"Y. Not really necessary for the town they're in, but I agree it can be confusing.

only went there once and thought the pizza was blah.
Haven't tried the pizza yet. Hobo sandwich is really good. My wife really likes their grilled cheese. My daughter devours their pancakes. Smoothies and frapps are great, large and only $5.50.
My only wish is that it had more seating and looked nicer, but if they renovated, then they'd probably raise their prices. :P

Lazy Bean is best milchig place in teaneck by a mile. Not a big menu at all. But the salads are great, service is solid, and their drinks are A++. The Peanut butter shake is a personal favorite.
And crazy expensive for what you get. Poppyís has more food options (that are very good) and amazing smoothies and frapps. Much better place in my opinion.

Wow the wiki really needs work. First trying to make sure I have a list of all places and tried to categorize them in one of 4 categories: high end, mid-tier (has waiter service), low end (no waiter service but enough seating to not just be a takeout place), takeout. Please comment if I'm missing anything or if you disagree on how I classified something, specifically on the ones with red question marks, as I've never been to those.

Meat
ETC. - high end
Nobo - high end
Estihana - mid-tier
The Humble Toast - mid-tier
Dougies - mid-tier
Teaneck Doghouse - mid-tier / sports bar
Noah's Ark - mid-tier
Sender's Smoke Joint - mid-tier
Shnitzel+ - low end
Chickies - takeout/some seats
Sababa - ?
Yalla Teaneck - takeout/some seats
Chopstix - takeout

Pareve
Sushi Metsuyan - mid-tier
Rock n' Roll Sushi - takeout/some seats

Dairy
Mocha Bleu - mid-tier
Shelley's - mid-tier
Rabica - mid-tier
Sammy's - low end
Lazy Bean - low end
Poppy's - low end (although looks like a classic pizza place)
Dunkin' Donuts - low end
EJ's - classic pizza place
Pizza Crave - ?
Little Italy - classic pizza place (inside grocery store)

Just opened.
+1 I did have it though.
Brisket sandwich to go - was good but nothing amazing. Bun was way too small and very soggy (granted, it was to go). Still would go again though.

Anyone in town this week?

Surfside DO?
There are at least 20 couples at the SR. Someone has to be a DDFer.

Street kitchen.

O. M. G.

We might have a new king in Miami.
Unfortunately, had an interesting experience. New place going through ups and downs as can be expected. Table was ready for our reservation but I could see most people didnít have food. Waitress comes over and says itís a 40 minute wait for entrees... so we order only apps - beef tacos and veal dirty fingers. Both were okay but nothing to write home about. Lava cake was good (nice to have some smaller things on the plate to munch on too). Obviously not fair to give a real review without an entree but we werenít waiting that long. 🤷‍♂️

Is the expanded backyard BBQ as crowded as the old place?
Yep. Need reservations day in advance.
