HOPIng to leave my car behind and not stress over parking so food is a must:-)! St Regis width 85,000?
Can you define "worth"? Purely moniteraly, if you sold 85k points, you would not get enough cash to buy yourself a room there.

Using Marriott points and a silver status...what would be a good hotel for a one night couple getaway in nyc? Pref something near a good restaurant for brunch. Thank you!!!
St. Regis is very nice. It's near Great American Health Bar and Milk n Honey.

good suggestion. I'll keep that option open for svartifoss. How long is the hike from parking to the falls? Think It's about 45 mins walk each way,  correct?
45 min up, about 20 min down.

Looks awesome! You day 3 is your busiest because there is still a decent drive from Vik to Svartifoss. If you can pull off the late night drive to Svartifoss at the end of day 2, you'll be able to start the morning already with the hike to the waterfall. Fjal%$%&asn Canyon is not to be missed! We went down to water level for the view, then back up and along the ridge for about 10 minutes, which I'm sure you know from reading my TR. :P

We stayed at the Marriott Marble Arch, Davened at Marble Arch Synagogue (normal frum shul) and got food from Reuben's. Did not warm it up. I think there was a kiddush by day, but I can't recall. Unfortunately, I never got to that TR yet.

Very cool! Looks like a beautiful place. Can you share what it costs per night?

Wait, how many LMs for those short hops?  Itís distance based like Avios right? I might need to start accruing these also for positioning flights to Chicago. Itís awesome how you basically know more about Colorado than most natives...I was asking your MIL something once and she was like ďI donít know youíll have to ask YehudaĒ! ;D
7.5k. It's breaks America into 3 zones, and travel within the same zone is 7.5k. Unless there is a typo in Dan's post, Zone 3 (CO) to Zone 2 (IL) would still be 12.5k.
lol

So the question I really want to know if I can't go up all the way and some of these areas are closed due to snow which area would be nicest and worth my time?
All I know is that @Something Fishy once stayed in the park. See his TR.

Credit Cards / Re: Chase Sapphire Reserve
« on: April 02, 2019, 10:52:24 AM »
Officially you are supposed a few days so that it gets completely processed.
Thank you! And so, if the only factors are waiting 48 months from bonus and not having one currently open, then upgrading or downgrading from SP to CSR or back shouldn't impact future qualifications for a bonus, right?

Credit Cards / Re: Chase Sapphire Reserve
« on: April 02, 2019, 10:39:18 AM »
Here are the terms for the bonus:
The product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months. If you are an existing Sapphire customer and would like this product, please call the number on the back of your card to see if you are eligible for a product change. You will not receive the new cardmember bonus if you change products.

Based on that, if you haven't gotten a bonus on a Sapphire card in 48 months, but currently have one open, can you just close it and then next day apply for the CSR and get the bonus?

How sick are we talking. Feeling slightly queasy, or full blown vomiting etc? What do most people experience?
I was meeting my wifeís family, and I couldnít get out of bed when we got back to make it to dinner 🙈

Really, going up to Mt Evants or Pikes Peak within  a few days of coming to Denver will make you sick?
Keep in mind those are significantly higher than Vail/Beaver Creek. Iíll let the locals chime in but itís not recommended. Youíre also dealing with winding roads which can lead to nausea.

Itís hard to know how youíll react. On my first trip to DEN, I stayed there overnights and went up to the mountains the next day and got sick. I think itís a hard place to go for just 2 days. Of course there are things not in the mountains you can do. Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, Red Rocks are not up in the mountains and still nice things to do.

Landing and going straight to the mountains is not recommended. Easy to get sick.

Best one in the eruv is the Staybridge Suites (the other hotels mentioned above are just outside the eruv).
+1 I know people who stayed in the Staybridge for many summers, although I've heard it's not as nice as it used to be.
