Up In The Air / HUCA waived me a flight change fee!!
« on: December 16, 2014, 02:45:47 PM »
wanna share this story with you: I had a flight booked with Delta SkyMiles, and I wanted to change it to a different date, I called SkyMiles multiple times and I was told there will be a fee of about $150 to change the ticket even if there is same availability of miles. but at the fifth time calling, the rep was able to change my flight without mentioning a fee!!

I meant recently vs a long time ago
it happened in the last month.

Yay! When did u prove it?
when I saw the credit on my statement after buying such a GC.

Does that really work? For other cards (Ritz Carlton cc giving 200$ for airline incidentals IIRC, does NOT work with GCs from any of the major airlines).
for the Delta CC it works.I proved it.

buy a Delta eGift on!

Just from your post, I have a feeling your best option might be to transfer your amex to flyingblue and book from there, 25k + yq each way. You don't have enough points in the other airways to use those. Are you willing to pay YQ fees?

ETA: For your dates - 6/8 NYC-TLV is 35,000 miles + 80 Euro :: 6/16 TLV-NYC is 25,000 miles + 113 Euro. You can do outbound 6/9 IAD-TLV for 25,000 miles and 80 Euro.

Thats just a quick search. Someone else maybe able to find something better.
i saw those, but the problem is they have very long stopovers :( :( :(

want to go NYC - TLV 6/8, return 6/16 having 50k amex points, 30k US airways miles, 30k delta, 30K chase points.
please help.

"plus one"
Usually written '+1', used in a forum post to indicate that the post serves no purpose other than to increase the poster's postcount. Usually used after an empty post along the lines of 'I agree'. Often used in a sarcastic manner to indicate the pointlessness of the entire thread.
now you really provided me with a +1 answer ...:)
