so people with more than 1 account.. do you have them all under the same name but different email address?

so it is okay to have more than one AP account for one person?

I have 3 under my name, but I have such a long name that I change it up a bit (ie. First and Last Name, First, Middle, and Last, etc).  My wife has 2 under her name, and I do the same thing with her.  All different email addresses.  All different credit cards.  All different bank accounts.  I do this to be safe rather than AP finding it and closing them out.  It's just not worth the time to fight them off so the best thing to do is tread lightly and don't be greedy and/or stupid.

smart; i try to space mine apart, too. And keep the numbers different in the 800's or 900's...
really hope we can keep AP safe for a long while to come.
Heck yah!  I'm getting hundreds of dollars in per year, and it helps with meeting thresholds.  I hope nobody catches what's going on.

So, did anybody find a decent exchange place?  I have Can $, Sing $, Thai Baht, Malaysian Ringgit, Philippine Pesos, and looked in Chase, Wells Fargo, and Citi, and WF had the best rates, but I needed to be a customer.  Well, I hate Wells, so I'm still on the look out.  What do you think about private exchange firms or airport exchangers?  Running out of ideas, and I need to change before these paper/plastic bills are out of circulation.  I'm in Los Angeles, CA area by the way.

how do you switch IP for 4 accounts?

I've actually been successful by unplugging my modem and restarting it again.  On my wife's and my phone, we take it off wifi when we use our respective accounts (we have 5 altogether).  After we send money and/or withdraw the funds, we put our phones back on wifi.  I'm no techy, but these seem to work for us.  At the same time, we don't send money all at once with the 5 accounts.  We do 2 in the beginning, 1 or 2 in the middle, 1 or 2 in the end of the month.  No problems yet.

Hi All,

Does anybody know the cheapest way (not by freighter pls) to send items to another country from the US?  I just spent $67.65 for Trader Joe's goodies weighing at 8lb 3.4oz to be sent to Singapore from the Los Alamitos, CA Post Office; Priority Mail 7-10 day delivery!!!  >:(  I only spent $30 for the items!

The post office rep said that if I went DHL or FedEx, it would be more expensive.  I did some research, and all I could find was, but it looks like you have to buy the products from online websites to ship to their US address hub where they would ship it to the international address.  I did some calculations and this would have cut my shipping costs by a bit over 50%, except I didn't by the items online.   :(  So, anybody else have any bright ideas for items purchased traditionally to be sent overseas?

Also, how about from overseas to the US?  Thanks.

Check out the link.  If you used Ink Business cards can you get 5 points per dollar if purchased online (assuming that GFs can be purchased on  Haven't done it before, but for $10 off a turkey and MyPoints earnings, it's probably worth a shot. 4000 MyPoints is roughly $25 in rewards cards.

When I tried about a year ago I was told cap1 does not consolidate credit lines.
Yes, I called them yesterday, and the rep said that Capital One does not consolidate.   :'(

Credit Cards / Is it worth it to consolidate Capital One CCs?
« on: November 02, 2013, 12:45:07 AM »
So, I have had a Capital One CC since 2006 (my very first one as I was just starting to build my credit during college) $500 CL no rewards program and me as primary, then a Household Bank CC in 2007 $300 CL 3% cash back and me as primary, and finally a Capital One Platinum in 2012 $1,500 CL for my wife with me as AU, and her as primary.  With CO buying HBC out and converting all three into Quicksilvers w/ 1.5% cash back, is it wise for us to just consolidate all three CLs into the 2006 CC to keep the credit history and to make everything simpler since it is completely redundant?  How will this affect our reports and scores?  Any advice is appreciated.

Its per account not per household and it has to be both 20K and 200 transactions!
Ok Thanks. ;D

Ok just to make sure I understand this one:

3) Although AP requires a SSN, you will not get a 1099-K unless you are receiving over $20k per year AND have done 200 transactions.

My wife and I each have 2 AP accounts.  If we were to do the 4 way loop for a year, that would be $48k received.  Does the above mean that each person (because there are only 2 SSNs) would be 1099'd for being over by $4k ($24k received each), or do you actually need to meet both tests ($20k per annum and 200 transactions) to be hit with the 1099?  And is the 200 transactions test per year or not?

I actually like to send it backward.  A > B, D > A,  C > D,  time has passed- w/d $ from B.  B > C.  over the month w/d the $ from the other accounts.  rinse repeat next month.
Noted.  Thanks.

Anyone know the best option in regards to getting Health Insurance/Travelers Insurance for a year? Would like it to be covered out of USA as well.

Wow! Nobody answered this.  Did you ever find out the best option?  I'm going to be in Asia for a month starting this Monday, so any info would really help.  Let me know.  Thanks.

So, I successfully created 4 different AP accounts: two for me; two for my wife; four different bank accounts; our new Sapphire, new Citi AAdvantage, and new Ink Bold (two different card numbers for me and wife but same account) linked to each.  Did my first transfer from wife (Sapphire) to me and withdrew from AP yesterday afternoon.  Received in account last night and did my transfer from me (Ink Bold) to wife's AP account #2 just right now: successful!  Waiting until later today to withdraw and do the next 2 transfers to form the quadfecta!  :D  Don't want to show some kind of a pattern, so treading lightly by spreading it out timewise.  Thanks all for your help!  If you want to add anything else to this to make it more effective (like if I should have more accounts or something else to maximize my churn potential) let me know.  On to Vanilla Reloads, GFs, and whatever else is out there.
