Up In The Air / Delta lounge day pass?
« on: October 08, 2010, 04:12:34 PM »
I have a long layover at Laguardia on Tuesday and would enjoy to spend time in the lounge. I am flying economy so no free pass.

How can I get a free or cheap day pass to the delta lounge?

On The Road / Delta miles with Enterprise car rental?

Dan (et al),

I used the Chabad corporate code for an Enterprise rental for a few days. I am trying to find out if I can get Delta miles. Is this possible?

Good Shabbos.

If you didn't fly in 18 months and had zero activity then your miles go poof.

Credit Cards / Re: Best card for groceries

I am back! I set up the rock bottom checking account with $100 in it. I also brought in the Continental Airline offer, which was added to the checking account. It was confirmed that I am now at 3% on my Freedom card and I got a free airline ticket out of it.

Not bad for an afternoon.

Dan, I already have the Chase Freedom. I am opening a checking account and linking the two to I can get 3% cash back. Your application you linked is for opening a Freedom account, that I already have.

I have just gotten off the phone with the closest Chase branch to me, in New Haven, CT (there are none in Boston, RI, NH). They have CONFIRMED that if you have the Chase Freedom and open *ANY* Chase checking account then your rewards goes up to 3%.

I am about to get in the car and open a Chase checking account at a bank 2 hours away. I am insane.

I was in a chase branch today to open a biz checking account (25,000 OnePass bonus miles), and they offered me a Chase freedom CC as well, and it comes with 3% cash back on groceries if it's one of your 3 highest spending category's. I told the CS rep that I heard they stopped giving 3%, he said that's only on the personal card the Biz still has it! The card also comes with $50 cash back already on it.

How about that! I'll give them a ring. Thanks for the lead!

Which credit card did you use?
Next time use your AMEX!

I used a CitiBank MC. I know about the Amex...I nearly punched the wall when I went back and saw I used an MC. Never again will that happen!
