Just Shmooze / Dell Samsung TV DEal
« on: March 13, 2014, 03:59:06 PM »
I was unable to find another thread continuing the conversations from the DD Main Site. I know that I got my tv and have received confirmation from chat support that I will be receiving my gift cards.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to sell (other than ebay) if I have no use for them? Is there something I can purchase from Dell and flip quickly?

« on: February 20, 2014, 09:49:28 AM »
Can someone help with parking at LGA? All the nearby parking lots are full. The lots at the airport are almost at capacity. Does anyone know if I should reserve in a P2 Lot at LGA?

Is there anyone with experience on this?

I know I can unlike and therefore unsubscribe but there is the occasional post interesting.
Is there anyway we can fix it? Improve the group?

Just Shmooze / Found iPhone 5S. Need Advice
« on: November 15, 2013, 09:12:48 AM »
So last night I was in a Mid-Town Manhattan store shopping and found an iPhone 5S with a lock code on. I spoke to the store who said no one called for it. T-Mobile said its an unlocked phone from France and that there was no way to track it.
I called Orange and they couldn't help me since I didn't have the phone number. I would like to do the right thing but am out of ideas. If anyone has please let me know.

If not, I would like to sell it  8)
I know the phone is unlocked and works in Israel. Any ideas on how I can go about doing this? The Model is A1457.

General Discussion / Gazelle Vs. Apple Vs. Walmart Vs. Amazon etc.
« on: September 12, 2013, 10:35:46 AM »
I am sure there are a lot of people that will be upgrading to new iPhone's in the near future. I have used eBay and Craigslist in the past but am looking for something more hassle free and after doing some research have found that the below listed companies have the best iPhone buyback programs.

Gazelle-Cash, lower payout
Apple-Must be used towards new purchase in store, higher payout
Walmart- Must be used towards new purchase in store, higher payout
Amazon- Amazon credit, higher payout than all above (for fair condition)
NextDirect- Cash, decent value

Of course, there is always the eBay route (with possible chargeback, high eBay and Paypal fees etc) which will pay more than the above. The average price for a used iPhone 4S on eBay was ~$250. Thats about $75-$100 higher than most websites but you have to factor about 14% will go to eBay and PayPal.

Craigslist is the best option if you have the time and patience. You will get spammed. You will have people offer you extremely low amounts of money that are just trying to waste your time. The upside is you will have cash and no one will come after you later if there is an issue.
(I would recommend not giving your cell number out and creating a second email address just for Craigslist. Use a variation of your real one, just so that you don't get too spammed)

If anyone has experience or recommendations please share!

General Discussion / Online Order Mistake
« on: April 24, 2013, 09:48:51 AM »
So I ordered something from a major retailer and in addition to receiving the item that I ordered they also sent me something else valued at roughly $200.
I have already been charged (correctly) for the 1 item I ordered. I called the retailer to explain the situation but was put on hold for 15 minutes and lost patience.
Do I need to call them back and go through this again? Should I just sell the item on eBay? Any chance they come back and charge me for the item?
