It's kind of cultish.

If anyone is interested in doing any research, you can Google Landmark forum. The COTS is just a repackaged version of that. You may need to do a bit of digging, because one thing they are great at is reputation management...

Credit Cards / Re: First Credit Card suggestions

I'd suggest going with Chase freedom for now, as you may have a hard time getting much else. While you are at it you might as well do a 2/3BM as you might get lucky. Once you've established some credit history, you should be able to get the Sapphire preferred and use it to transfer your points out to miles.

If you also open a checking account by chase, you'll get a 10% bonus on your freedom points.

Deals/Deal Requests / Re: $25 off $75 @ amazon With AMEX + FB

Has anyone gotten their Amazon credit on their added user cards? Mine all posted just for the main cardholder only.

I got for all AUs pretty much right away.

Got it. For $4, I'll be happy if  they last a month before they break or I lose them somewhere...

Which belief system is that a part of?

The same one that includes the belief that "you can only get the bonus for a card once"? ;-)

Plan Fee $59.95/ year
Max. Monthly Load Amount via PIVOT LOAD Vouchers $5,000
ATM Domestic Cash Withdrawal Fee    $3
Max. Weekly ATM Withdrawal $500

Pay as you go has no monthly or yearly fee. If I read the chart properly, you would have to pay $0.49 per purchase but you would still pay the same $3 to withdraw from an ATM.

sometimes when a c.c. co. wants to verify who u are they ask a few multi choice questions -- I understand when ask where i lived 30 years ago or what car i bought -- but do not understand when they ask about  (multi choice question)  pick the name of a relative -- or where they live -- so much personal info is on "public records "

That's the point. They get that info from public record. If you would have to search to find the answers they can tell that it's taking you time to answer. In theory someone can find everything there is to know about you before they call but...
