sorry for my ignorance but how does it work if I buy free nights. They book the room and put my name as a second guest?

Any other good options for koh samui hotels. Conrad is sold out for my dates

For my dates as well. Anyone been to the Intercontinental or X2 hotel?

Has anyone stayed in any hotels other then the ones listed for Koh Samui and what was your opinion of them? Looking for some recommendations. The Conrad is not available and many of the other's don't look too nice when I look at the pictures on trip advisor. Would love some first hand opinions. TIA

669 tours is next to chabad.
המרכז המטייל
Just means travel center.

Thank you  :)

The wiki says:
Use  המרכז המטייל as travel agent for trips
   (next door to Chabad)

Is that the same as 669 tours?

I got a number for someone to plan the tours in Chiang Mai from the Chabad Rabbi called 669 tours. is that the tour company recommended by  and used by most?

Also it mentioned in the wiki to ask for a discount and use my own driver? Does anyone have a driver to recommend and is the discount so much that it's worth the bother?

On average each activity recommended by this tour company cots between 1600 to 1800 bht...is that what it should go for or am I better not planning it in advance and walking into the office when I get there for better pricing? TIA

The getting her used to something is my biggest concern. The points are not an issue, and it happens to be the cheapest option available.
I think she'll notice, she's flown plenty in Y, so has what to compare.
If this is not a common thing then I don't think it's an issue. It's ok to treat a child once in a while, you can say it's a special treat for something she did or a milestone or just because.

When I was a child my parents took my to Paris in biz class (which was not the same as it is today...no lie flat seats) once and it was such a fun treat. They surprised me with it. I knew this wasn't something we do all the time but it's ok to do something special once in a while.

Great TR!

Do you remember the name of the elephant camp you went to visit?

We did Davis and found it fine.

You spent shabbos at Beth Elisheva Chabad? How does it differ from Ohr Menachem?

General Discussion / Re: Muni Meter Ticket Needed

Does anyone have a NY Muni Meter Ticket for 2:35pm today?

My wife got a ticket during a 3 min gap between her two tickets!!!
Just FYI I believe you have a 5 minute grace period so if there were only a 3 minute gap you could provide both tickets as proof.

Definitely Beth Elisheva in the Sukhumvit Road area. The other one, Ohr Menachem is more geared
to Israeli backpackers.
Thank you!

What hotels near Beth Elisheva do you suggest? (not using points)

How do I know which location is best for shabbos? Do all three serve shabbos meals?

Anyone have advice on this? Which chabad do I want to base myself around for shabbos in BKK?
