Curious if there has been any update to this story?

Can we stop arguing whether it's an official, certified Ponzi scheme?

We can all agree, they had a business, it wasn't doing well and to pay off existing obligations, they took advantage of people, who will probably end up with a thousands of debt, bankruptcies, wrecked credit............

Moral of the story? look at the title of this thread.

I dunno, I'm not going to count the comments, but it looks to me that besides the people who actually know the family, people are more likely to believe frum people stink rather than that the worst airline in the country by almost every metric may have screwed up.

I'm not sure why so many people just assume AA was in the right and the pax were wrong.
and even if one of them did smell, (which I doubt, as it was in the 70s in MIA that day and they are normal people)

1) AA promised them their luggage, then lied and sent it to detroit.
2) both of them smelled bad enough to warrant getting booted from the plane???? It doesn't seem they really did "an individual smell test", rather just said "you guys smell, out!" If one had an issue, the other should still have been allowed to fly.
3)Why were they allowed to fly the next day, wearing the same clothes?

Idk if they were discriminated against for being jewish or not, but I highly doubt AA was justified in booting them.

People like to say "there's 2 sides to every story". THATS NOT TRUE! Most stories have two sides but not all. I know this couple personally, they are very normal people. I highly, highly doubt they really smelled. This is AAWFUL!

I know this family personally. They are the last people I would ever expect to have body odor. They are very normal people. (Yes, SHOCKING, Detroit has normal people!)

Selling one 50k cert at $275 gold account, you book.

General Discussion / Re: is kahlua liquor kosher

Does anyone know if kahlua in israel is kosher? It's a 700ml bottle, doesn't say where it's bottled. Not that it means much, the Waldorf bar had it.

Speaking of the Waldorf and kashrus, they have kahlua at the bar. It's a 700ml bottle, says imported from Mexico but doesn't say where it was bottled. I think a company from Paris imported it. I'm not saying it is or isn't kosher, just pointing it out.
Maybe belongs in this thread

I don't believe that to be true.
Definitely not from what I saw...
I remember the shabbos he ate there. I forgot exactly what he did, I can find out from someone reliable. But IIRC there was a lot of hock involved, something like he had an oven kashered and brought his own mashgiach.

Is there a reason lechem ubasar isn't in the wiki? Seems like a fairly common restaurant in yerushalayim for both tourists and locals.

Whether or not the WAJ is kosher is not, I'm not interested in igniting the debate, but if the WAJ has so many frum guests, why wouldn't they use a kashrus agency that is more widely accepted?
