Do lifetime platinum accounts have any indication online of the lifetime status?

Each rabanut will be different just like each local vaad. You happened to choose cities where you are willing to rely on the local vaad. Not every vaad is as reliable and you may not always be able to find info on them.

My understanding is that all rabanut hechsherim accept the kashrus of each other's products, thereby reducing them all to the lowest common denominator.

(it seems that Thai doesn't have F from FRA, and LH doesn't have F MIA-MUC). I would be inclined to redeem LifeMiles for the way there, but based on my research they don't allow mixed cabin redemptions. Is that still true?

It seems that the above is inaccurate. So MIA-FRA-BKK on LH/Thai F would be ideal.

I'm in the very preliminary stages of planning a trip of around 8-10 days to 1-3 destinations in the far east for wife and myself. I am leaning toward spending  the bulk of our time in Thailand. A big motivator for this trip (for me) is to experience as many top notch F products, lounges, and aspirational awards as possible, so I'd like to rack up as many of these without extending travel times beyond reason. I either have or could get miles or points in most every program. I would of course like to do this as economically as possible and to limit YQ.

We are based in South Florida, so would like to begin from MIA or FLL, although if warranted we could add in a drive/flight to Orlando.

My current thinking is: outbound LH J MIA-MUC, then Thai F MUC to BKK (it seems that Thai doesn't have F from FRA, and LH doesn't have F MIA-MUC). I would be inclined to redeem LifeMiles for the way there, but based on my research they don't allow mixed cabin redemptions. Is that still true? For the way back, I would do either Emirates BKK-DXB-FLL (sadly by the time I'd be able to pull off the trip there will be no F DXB-FLL) or BKK-SIN-FRA on SQ (maybe include a day in Singapore), and LH F FRA-MIA. Does anyone know if this last routing is legal with SQ? I should add that we have tried LH F and loved it, so that wouldn't be new.

Does anyone have any thoughts, suggestions, or more interesting ideas?

You can now book TLV<>N.A. online

MIA>TLV availability (according to EF) doesn't show in that search.

Does anyone have experience getting Hyatt to book a standard accessible room as an award night?

Menu looks affordable and original. This will prob hurt carlos and cabby's real bad. Lines are out the door last night I heard.

Has anyone tried the Omakase at Shallots? After watching Jiro Dreams of Sushi I've been dying to try something like that but always assumed it doesn't exist in kosher. Essentially it means putting your dining experience in the chef's hands and letting him/her guide you through a progressive sushi menu.

I also noticed that they have o toro (very fatty tuna belly) and chu toro (medium fatty tuna belly) on the menu which I've looked all over for in kosher sushi places to no avail. Unfortunately it was not available the night I went.

Never even seen it (that I know of). Report back please!

Quite nice for around $215 a night new years eve weekend (ended up switching from points to cash after the price dropped). Lobby is roaring 20s-themed, distinct and quite nice. It's on top of Nordstrom on Michigan Ave. Rooms are newly renovated. Stayed in a double queen which was about on par with what you'd expect from a nice westin, with a few added design flourishes. Bathroom was spacious and nice. Staff quite nice and accommodating.

I think you can safely separate jb biz dps from the others. They seem to operate completely autonomously.

Has anyone stayed at the Gwen? Newly renovated SPG property, 12k points, ranked very high on trip adviser. Will be checking it out this weekend.
