Destination Guides And Trip Planning / Re: Israel Hotels Master Thread

Trying to put together a last minute trip for my parents next week in herziliya. Are there any mehadrin restaurants minyanim sepereate beaches?
There is a mehadrin restaurant in the marina called cafe cafe(dairy)-you can also send them down abt 15-20 minutes to the namal Tel Aviv where you have Lechem Basar (meat-Machpud) and a cafe cafe (Dairy-chasam sofer petach tikva).

There is a separate beach called chof mehadrin (sun, tue, thu-women;mon, wed, fri-men)

There is a small chabad shul in the Lagoona building (also located in the Marina abt 3 minute walk from the Ritz)-the concierge at the Ritz should know minyan times; There is also a chabad house located at :
215 Wingate st;  Herzliya Pituach
and the phone number of the Rabbi is: 0528697837 . There is also an ashkenaz shul, but I do not remember the details off hand.

For what in particular?
One of the most expensive cities in the world today (at least last summer it was)-we have never spent so much money in 2 days on a vacation like we did there....everything is just expensive!!

Thanks for the awesome tr-love the live update style-enjoy SIN (and get ready to drop some serious cash :P)

GIYF. (Google is your friend)
You can give that answer to basically any question on DDF ::)- The OP did not ask what the weather is along the way on the specific days he plans on driving there, rather he seems to be asking what might be sights or activities of interest and kosher food, etc. along the way-no need to GIYF in this case IMHO-I wished there was more info on DDF when I planned my trip....

spending only 3 days/2 nights on the road is not going to leave you much time for fun unless you don't plan on getting much sleep...

Most animals can't/won't get into the Jeeps, which are very high, even if they are open top.

On top of that, when the animal is looking at the Jeep they don't see a vehicle with 10 creatures inside, but rather one giant creature, which is much bigger and stronger than they are.

Yes, it is dangerous for the Rangers to stop and change a flat tire. There was one incident in Kruger national park in which a leopard killed a Ranger who left his vehicle while waiting for help to repair a flat. Though the rangers are often armed, they are trained how to spot potential harm, and how to deal with it without deadly force. They are the last people who would shoot an animal. As for the tourists, they remain safely in the Jeep.

Safaris are safe, unless you do something idiotic like get out of the car, or antagonize the animals.

Not always true...

Great installment!!
