The room, service and ambiance is better at ritz. And for small difference in cost

Any idea how they treat platinums there?

Yes was recently there.
Great resort, but with reward points you are in the resort tower. Which is a little walk to the beach.

Barely any status recognition. I went during a busy time.

So unless i can guarantee that I wont be in the resort tower, wouldnt it be better to go with Westin?

General Discussion / Re: How to deal with dentist?
« on: February 12, 2019, 10:00:08 PM »
My dentist did work (cavities) on a couple of teeth near each other 2 month ago. Before he did the work, there was no pain. Since then, my tooth (or possibly both) hurt whenever I eat hot or cold food. I think that 2 months is more then enough time for sensitivity to go away.

What are my options at this point? I did go back a month ago, and they took x-rays and didn't see anything. Can I make him take out the filling and redo it?
His assistant told me that he wont do that for me for free, (since I guess insurance wont pay him). Obviously I feel I have every right to have him do it again, since this only happened after he did the work.

How do I get him to do it? Any reason he wouldn't be obligated to do it for free? Do I call up the insurance company?

Any ideas. Thanks

Just because you were asymptomatic before he started treatment, doesnt mean the treatment wasnt necessary.
If the filling was deep and you are still feeling hot and cold sensitivity, its likely means you need a root canal. The cavity was likely deep and the dentist probably tried to do a simple filling to save the tooth (which would be the correct move). Get a second opinion from another dentist if you would like.

My wife has been to Ritz Laguna. It's on the beach but I believe requires steps to get down to the beach.

I would imagine there is no comparison between Cali and Grand Cayman.

How did she like it?

The comparison is in the sense that its a Zika free place with a resort on a beach that isnt Miami and relatively close to NY. Kosher food would prob just as difficult for both. Was wondering which location would be the most sit back on the beach between the two.

Thanks for all the advice, I think you guys talked me out of this, thinking of switching to Grand Cayman now

I was initially looking into Ritz Santa Barbara or Ritz Laguna for this upcoming June, but i think im also going to end up doing Grand Cayman. Looking for a relaxing beach vacation at a luxury resort for a babymoon and think the Grand Cayman might be more suited for this

Ritz is the way to go.

Have you stayed there recently? Any status recognition at the Ritz?

Any thoughts on going to RC Lagune Niguel or Santa Barbara vs one of the Grand Cayman Islands? Anyone been to both?

Is there a way around the increase in miles required for US domestic on Delta if its an indirect flight?

From TPG

“While neither airline has alluded to such service modifications, the new London Heathrow/Tel Aviv service could eventually allow Delta to end the airline’s flights to Tel Aviv. Delta operates a single daily non-stop from its New York-JFK hub. Though the airline has previously signaled that the service has been a success, Virgin Atlantic’s new Tel Aviv service could allow Delta to exit the Israeli market and reallocate its equipment to other routes.”

Any thought on this actually happening? Seems very unlikely to me.

Anyone stay at Ritz Laguna Niguel? Is it on the beach?
