people don't have multiple bb accounts under their name. It's only 1 per ssn. People as well as myself use family and friends accounts which they don't care or sometimes don't even know what to do with  8)
Thank you.  I don't want them to grow up too fast, but sometimes I wish my children were age 18+.  ::)

I feel like you never read about easy, successful ATM experiences here. Why don't more ppl just use the cashiers?

People are more likely to write about difficult/bothersome experiences than when things go normally.  Lots of reasons for this "reporting bias".

Wow! Lots of issues in the East Coast. Not many doing it in my area in CA AFAIK, so may be why I've been successful at loading or just luck. I have 4 BB accounts so I'll test my $10k worth of OVs at a MP at 2 WMs along with financial services in the next few days. Was successful last week when I met the load limits for the month, so wish me luck.

Apologies if this is common knowledge, but I am interested to learn how someone can have 4 BB accounts.  I have two, but one is mine and one is my wife's.  Is it one BB account per Social Security #?  TIA.

Data point: I made a reservation on Priceline.  Called Avis to add the Wizard number. Agent told me that the price would be higher with the Wizard number,so he suggested just adding it at the counter for points. (I'm not sure he understood that I've already paid for it via Priceline.)

Credit Cards And Finance / Re: Credit Card Retention Bonuses

I am approaching 60 days since the AF posted on my Amex Plat.

I have charged the 3k spend and an additional $5500. I have done PGGM and GE.

I plan on telling them that I am canceling because the main reason I got it was for the no Foreign Transaction fee, and the same benefit is provided by the Delta Plat which I was just approved for and is much cheaper.

Is that a good strategy? What can I add?

Hi, I know what PGGM is, but what is GE? (I did check the Acronyms wiki.)  ???
Thanks.

Coupon worked for me, my wife and our three children... We fanned out across the store.  It didn't really "work", but the cashier or manager gave it to us.

4 swipes to 1,999

ShlockDoc,
Can you please clarify: you loaded $3499, but not all on one BlueBird card, right? Limit is still $2500 per card per day, $5000 per card per month.
Thanks.  ;D

Does anyone have current information on how to get a free trial on Hyatt Platinum or even Hyatt Diamond?  Or has that train left the station long ago?

I think we should all agree not to do this from now on. 1x gas points are nice, but prob not worth s&s cracking down on gc purchases.
Yes, I agree. The first $500 Visa GC was innocent, and they were nice enough to grant me the 5x. I should have walked away, or if I was going to try the Amazon card, shouldn't have gone for $500.  Greed got the better of me.

3079
so OOT i would never think you'd have issues.

I was surprised, too.  I was tempted to ask what the concern was, but I really just wanted to book on out of there.  It's amazing how many WM's there are in some parts of the country, like Texas and the midwest.  Almost as many WMs here as we have DDs (in this case, Dunkin Donuts) in the East.

Walmart Monticello is a no-go now.. I was just there this morning, I never had issues before in this Walmart, and this morning I walked up to cashier and asked to load onto BB and she asks me to see the card I want to load with, thank god I had my real atm card on me, I showed her it did a few dollars from it and she tells me that people are "using GC's so that why I asked you to see the card first".
Similar to what happened to me in a store outside Houston. I walked up to cashier and asked if I could load my BB. She said sure. I had both my bank debit card and my MetaBank debit card in hand.  Unfortunately, this particular swipe machine had no privacy protection whatsoever, so it was very easy for the cashier to see that I was swiping the GC. She said you can't load those GCs. I said, oh, I didn't know, have done in past. She called over manager to void the transaction, and the manager didn't even look me in the eye.  There was no confrontation or argument   I just left.  Thankfully, I stopped in a walmart outside s Louis, and n00b cashier was happy to oblige the load.  So, seems it is becoming YMMV from store to store.
