Credit Cards / Re: TD GO

Seems that TD has put a limit of $3K now onto the parent account and not each teen card as the wiki states.

I keep getting a message that I have reached my load limit. I have 2 teen cards and loaded $2K onto 1 and $1K onto the other card this past week and now can't load anymore funds.

My experience is similar.
I also have two teen cards.
I loaded $1800 on one but was only able to load ~$1200 on the other, providing further evidence that there is now a $3K limit on the parent account.

Can anyone verify that Chase does not consider these charges to load TD Go as Cash Advances?
I understand that Chase initially posts them as pending, and holds them against your cash advance balance, but eventually they transfer over to regular purchases.
But I'm still waiting to see my monthly statement to ascertain if I was charged any cash advance fees or interest for the period of time that the charge seemed to exist as CA.

Does anyone have any data points?
Thanks.

-->>Answering my own question here, hopefully providing a data point of use to others:
I am pleased to report that my Chase Sapphire Preferred monthly statement showed ZERO ($0) cash advance, ZERO ($0) fees charged, and ZERO ($0) interest charged.
Now, I am going to hit this TD Go card as hard as I can for the next 3 weeks...too bad it's pretty limited, but we'll take what we can get.

Just got 5 tix IAD-PBI in February  8) -- during school break week!  Total cost, with a carry on bag and seat assignments (who ever heard of paying for regular seat assignments?!)  With their schedule and with Shabbos, can only stay two nights in WPB, but that will be oh-so-nice to escape New England in February!

Thanks for the deal, Jeremiah! :)

Credit Cards / Re: Chase checking coupons

In recent times, how long does it take for chase total checking coupon bonus to post to account?
I opened it a month ago and it isn't showing yet.
In past years, I seem to recall it posting in a matter of days.

Hi,
I opened new Total Checking account (with coupon for $125 bonus, HT to Chucksterace) on 8/3. The letter in the Welcome Pack listed the two requirements for the bonus (Deposit $100 or more within 10 business days and Receive from your employer or government benefits...a monthly electronic direct deposit).  Then it said, "After you have completed all the above requirements, we'll deposit the bonus in your new account within 10 days.

In hedging my bets, I have initiated ACH transfers from CapitalOne360Bank, BlueBird, and will do PayPal soon.  The first of those ACH transfers (which, of course, we're hoping the Chase system sees as "monthly direct deposit") posted on 8/5.  So, I'm anticipating my bonus to be posted sometime on or before 8/19.

But for you, if it's been over a month since you opened, and presumably over a month since you satisfied the two requirements, you should have seen the bonus posted by now.

How did you (intend to) satisfy the DD requirement, and when did that ACH/DD post to your Chase Checking?

No points yet for me, either.  :-\

I'm sure this is not new information for those with considerable experience loading GCs to BB at WM ATM, but I have noticed that I occasionally get error messages when I try to deposit the entire $200 GC. One workaround seems to be to lower the deposit amount to $199.99, and then sometimes need to lower it to $199.98 or even $199.97.  It  seems like it's a quirk of the machine I'm using, but maybe others have had similar experience?

For what it's worth, my two teens' cards arrived today, about 10 calendar days after I registered for them, YMMV.

the score lags behind so they might not be included. what is more interesting is your score went from 810 to 840 in a month. any big changes to your credit file?

Sorry, meant to quote this message above.

Hi,
No big changes, other than all the new Chase accounts, opened in June. And a fair amount of spending and paying off on those cards.  But no new loans, no loans paid off, nothing like that.  And the 810 to 840 was over 2 months, FWIW.

Wiki first pass completed.

Please post constructive comments (or PM is fine too, if you think it warrants that).

If you didn't want a wiki, and have just thrown your hat on the ground and stomped on it in frustration, I don't want to hear from you.  ;)

Yasher koach!  I smiled at the last comment about the teen.

how recently did you open the cards. does your score include this info?

Opened the first cc around June 1.

I don't see any details on the Barclay's FICO site to determine whether the score includes the recent openings.

I do see that my score was about 810 in early May and then the 840 was early July.

I have a Barclay's US Airways MasterCard, and I just checked my FICO score.  It says it is 840.  I'm just a little surprised it's so good.  I recently opened 5 new Chase credit card accounts, and we have a huge mortgage and a HELOC.  Yes, we always pay our CC's in full each month, but is it possible my FICO score is almost perfect?

And, if it's that good, should I be leveraging it more?  (I.e., open more and more CC accounts?)

Thanks in advance.

Still plenty of money but amazing deal if needed Anyways.

Just pulled the trigger.  Looks like a really great deal. Have been shopping for patio furniture for a while...ridiculously expensive, and this looks like great value.  Thanks!
