Although Chuck's the default here, that was me  :)

I don't think it'll be worth it booking with miles in this situation. At least with the current availability.

Joe4007, Thank you.  Looks like I'm paying for this one. At least it's a happy occasion requiring travel! :)

Do you have any other points?
Sadly, not really. I have about 15,000 United Mileage plus miles, but that's it.
Just got into the Chase/UR and Southwest program, but no miles/points posted yet.

Hi, I wish I knew how to respond directly to chucksterace's message, but I guess I just hit reply and it's all in the same thread.

Hi,
My mother and I need to attend a simcha in Chicago this Shabbat!

Round trip
Non-stop
From: BOS (preferred), PVD, MHT
To: ORD, MDW
Departure dates: 7/4 (noon to 5pm)
Return dates:7/6 (ideally departing before noon)
Class: Any
Seats: 2
Alliance/Airline: I have 60,000 USAirways Dividend Miles...Looks like I could blow all those miles plus $108 in fees for ONE passenger.  That doesn't seem worth it to me, is it?  Other ways to use those miles?

Thank you all in advance.

Hi, can anyone confirm that the deal works for gas at S&S gas stations (in addition to Shell). We have several in Boston area usually good price on gas. I have read the entire thread and see only one mention of S&S gas station that did not address success or not. Thank you all.

Hi, I'm new at this, so I apologize if this is in the wrong place or duplicated (I did try to search and didn't find):

Williams Sonoma today only 15% off plus free shipping. Use this code: VFZ6-PZH3-WTZK .

Hope this helps someone.

Thanks so much. I was conflating One Vanilla with Vanilla Rewards.  I'll look elsewhere for where to buy VR's...unless someone is kind enough to offer info here.

Hi, I'm a n00b and apologize if this is a naive question.
I just read the wiki for this topic, and it says:

"3. Go to https://www.vanillareload.com and put in the PIN, and then your BB account number on the next screen. No fee will be charged. The money is now in your BB account. If it doesn't work, make sure you entered both numbers correctly. In certain locations you may need to wait about 15 minutes for the money to show up."

The wiki was last updated about 3 weeks ago.  It's not possible to do this kind of online transaction (from home) to transfer OV to BB, is it? Was it ever?

Thanks in advance.

Anytime before the statement closes and as little as $1. I usually leave about $10-$30. Don't pay it all because you want it to look like you're using the cc, you just want a low ratio between your utilization and credit line.

thank you!

Hi, looking for a thread (or a wiki?) on when to pay credit card bill (timing relative to the closing of the month) and how much to leave unpaid (if any?). Thanks.

Hi, I'm new to Evolve Money. I didn't realize there is a limit of 4 payments per payee per month.  Is it 4 free payments, and you can pay for additional ones, or is it just 4, and you can't do any more?

Sadly, my mortgage is a lot more than I can pay with 4 $200 GC's (and even more than 4 $500 GC's, though I don't know where to find those...suggestions on that, too, would be welcome!).

Thanks, all.
