Wow, big move!
Youíre telling me!
I grew up in Long Beach and have some roots here.
Biggest point of consternation for me:
Lakers-Celtics.

+1, Jeff's is quick takeout, a burger bar has decent reviews, Eilat Burger is another place with ok reviews, and Psy is new. If you want pareve, meshuga for sushi and Fish grill are good, cheap, quick options.
Thank you both so much. Going to fish grill tomorrow, so meat today. Thanks. zow

Seeking Recommendation for a quick and cheap lunch. Somewhere in pico Robertson. Burger or chicken wings or something like that. Tacos.  Takeout.

Iím sure someone has already posted this bag before, but I chuckled when I saw it in YYZ today.

Also, as a bonus, view from our room at YYZ Sheraton.  That was ďourĒ LY 787 in the foreground, but look at that beautiful KLM 747 behind it!

Reminds me how when I went there with DW and one month old baby, we handed the passports and birth certificate (at that time kids could still travel to Mexico with only a birth certificate) to the border agent (at the airport. The agent looks at the birth certificate first, sees the name and asks me "Uste..... [my daughter's name]?"
I know it was two years ago, but just saw it now and made me laugh. :)

Hi!
We will be in Jerusalem Shabbos Vay-hi (January 10-11).  DW, DD, and I would love to be hosted.  Promise (bíN) to share everything we learn on our trip to Cairo that precedes.

I used Uber for cairo travel.  If you specifically need a tour guide you can PM me, I used him for longer distance driving.

You can buy a sim in the airport for cheap.

Beware for harassment and no matter how many people tell you this you still need to hear it again. It's not a reason not to go it's just to be aware of.
Thank you. PM sent.
All additional info welcome from others, as well, here or via PM. Thanks!

Can anyone recommend a tour guide?  I'm interested in both the Pyramids and the synagogues in Cairo?

Went to Backyard BBQ Tonight - overall a great experience.

Apps:
BBQ Sundae - best dish of the night. Decent portion of shredded BBQ beef on top of slaw and baked beans, topped with crispy onions.
Baked beans - just average

Mains:
Burnt ends - generous portion. Some pieces were pretty dry unfortunately.
Brisket - portion was only 3 slices, which was less than expected, but it was good and still filling.
BBQ beef sandwich - the structural integrity of the sandwich left much to be desired, but otherwise a great sandwich

Dessert:
Chocolate chip cookie - served hot in a skillet with ice cream. Mixed reviews from the table.
Pecan pie - really good.

We also went to 17 last night... not the best experience. The pastas and the strawberry walnut salad were pretty good, but pizza was basically inedible. Service could be improved a lot.

Lol we were at Backyard last night, too. Similar ordering, but we didnít get dessert. (Had a talk with our Optavia coach before we went out...). Some pics.

Regarding LH Lounge in BOS:
1. We will be flying LX J ex-BOS. Does that give us LH Lounge access?
2. If not, does Amex Plat give it?
3. Can I get kosher meal in the lounge (would prefer to eat pre-flight so we can sleep right out of the gate)?
4. Whom would I call about the meal? LX or LH Lounge?

TIA

Looking for a good mehalech here.
I currently have PP through AMEX plat and (CSR, i think?) I have AAdmirals through the executive card. I get my two free United passes.
practically I fly most often on short haul flights on American or southwest or other carriers that don't have lounges, or coast to coast in J where i have lounge access regardless.
until November I was using the AA lounges when I flew WN, but that ship has sailed. there are no other lounges in that terminal.
I have a credit card that covers one free lounge membership per year up to $500. last year I bought UA, not only did I not end up using it, but I even let my two free passes expire.
So, what would you recommend is the most worthwhile airport club to buy?

So you fly mostly domestic.
You already have PP and AA access, plus two passes to UA, which you may not even use.
1. Can you buy UA membership in someone elseís name?
2. What does Delta club cost, and could you use it if not flying on Delta?
