Why get the $50 scgc vs. amex $50 gift card. The amex is slightly more expensive but still a good deal. What am I missing?

I'm trying to figure out why people don't just Priceline the Grand Hyatt Kauai. I imagine those with hopes of getting upgraded to a suite want to stay away from that... but let's say there's no suites available for your dates anyway, is there really any reason NOT to use Name Your Own Price? Even cash & points works out to an equivalent of well over $300; Name Your Own Price can get it for significantly less than that. The GHK appears to be the only 4.5 star property that Priceline has on the island; should be a slam-dunk. Theive stayed in ghk via priceline. But remeber the hotek will also charge you resort fees so figure out how much you are really saving via priceline. No, this hotel will not treat you like garbage. One of the nicest hotels ive stayed at with excellent service.
1) Priceline somehow digging another random "4.5 star property" out of who-knows-where; and
2) The GHK knowing that you're a Priceline cheapo, and treating you like crap.
Any thoughts? I've read through the thread and see it being discussed multiple times, but no real conclusion...
As of now it looks like next week won't see much rain there, am I right in assuming that would mean not so much mud?I highly suggest you rent a kayak right near secret falls. The other places are a 40 minute + each way from the falls and a waste of time.
DW and I are not athletes, but I think (read: hope) we're in good shape.
How much time would you say we'd need to do it at a decent pace?
My only comments on your itinerary is on the Makaha Ridge Road.We did not do Makaha Ridge Road and happy I did miloli ridge road instead.
Curious if mokellman did the path and what his thought are (or anyone else who took that path).
You have made and saved us so much money over the past few years. We may seem like we take it for granted by now, so I just want to let you know that we really appreciate it. From SBS, to price mistakes, to $399 tickets to Israel on United, Avios flights. And many many more. THANK YOU!
im not sure it bothers them. They already cap the max number of registrations so they know what their max expense is. Registration didnt fill till tonight so its not like all the aus prevented too many people from participating.+1 sbs was a success this year
Do I need to do the 10 10.01 10.02 if I swipe the card or only if I put in numbers?I had to becaue the machine kept saying duplicate transactions but it is probably due to being an old machine. You don't have to though.
So originally this island was the one asking me to come and visit HawaiiBut as I started researching all the attractions I saw that the highlight on this island is the helicopter tour, and as my wife is slightly claustrophobic that didn't look like the best idea so I switched to Maui. Now that the hotel situation on Maui doesn't look too promising I'm considering switching back. Would that be like going to Paris and missing the Eiffel Tower?
Ya even used my kids.....just took my whole family's lol, wasent any problemLol. You went to register or customer service. I had to go to customer service becaue they were out of cards on the floor.
Sorry whats au?Authorized users, like ur wife. They didn't let me use cards under my wife's name.
