It's insulting that you think I didn't put on tefillin today.
Lesson is: start looking more Jewish. Make it look more obvious.

Can I just say, as a Modern Orthodox Jew I personally get frustrated by being asked to put tefillin on- often while I'm wearing a Kippah?
I, and as i understand, many lubavitchers as well, have had my tefillin used by people wearing yarmulkas countless times, dales minim even more. Many many people rely on it when they are late for work etc.
I guess it's worth those few that get frustrated ,for the many that benefit

Also:
Are you sure your yarmulke was visible?

Going to Israel. Regarding price, is it better to buy a black hat there or here (NY)?

Thanks!
Price is probably better there, but you'll never want to wear that hat when you come back here

I would be in major tzar from eating in a dumpster (even the picture is nauseating) but I very much enjoyed our lebidig rainy meal.
Why is that disturbing?
Would it stop you from eating there?

We can make it really exciting if we discuss havdala/leisheiv basuka by havdala on motzei shabbos /Yom Tov.
But then we'll have to bash more than just chabad

Of course there are, and I'm not even a chabadnik. There's even halachic, non chabad sources given.
The halachik explanation are all non chabad, starting with the munkatcher rebbe, divrei chaim of tzans etc (piskei teshuvos bring a whole list, and from some teshuvos it seems that (for those people) it would be a chiyuv and thus would require a bracha

Source??
I take back the bracha lesheiv basuka part (although somehow I feel that he did, because it does happen to be the chabad minhag),

ולמה קרא לזה מין Doesn't mean he agrees with them. It just means that he felt they can't be labeled as a מין.because then you're labeling all the רבים וטובים As מינים
I never said he himself held that way, I said he wrote that it's okay to think so.
BTW, a little lesson of how we should look at other people (rabim vetovim) even if they do something we believe is kefirah, all the more so when they are being mehader in a mitzvah in a way that makes us uncomfortable because we never studied the topic in the way they were taught it by their poskim. He does not. Read it again.

Regarding your second comment: it's okay to question why, not okay to counter.  Similar to the difference between "I don't understand the gemara" or "this gemara doesn't make sense"

All to do with emunas chachamim, you want to trust him without knowing the reason based on his record of knowing a bit of torah.

Let me go controversial on you.
Emaunas chachamim is something that must be earned, it's not a blind trust like we are expected to have with the one above.
I don't want to get dirtier then this.
I am ready to be corrected if I'm wrong, but this is my understanding.
This has nothing to do with emunas chachmim.
We have here a huge posek and Talmid chochom that acted in a certain way that you don't understand.  You could believe that he knew what he was doing, even though he didn't consult with you

Idk about you, but I make 2, despite being a safik brachos, but there is room for debate there, before the chafetz chaims times.
Krumkeit can be rich too!!
So the chafetz chaim was krum?

HE needs to earn YOUR trust?????
