What about being a cosigner on a mortgage? How does that affect the credit?

Sorry if this quote is from a long time ago...
I was just trying to say that they could come after you even if it's after a long time.

i mean that I got some payment on my account for over 2k which posted about 2 months ago and I have no clue who paid it and was wondering if amex could take it off my account or if after a certain period of time its too late for them to take it back. Bekitzur should i make a l'Chaim for getting a free $2100 payment to my account.
I requested a credit balance transfer to another card, and in the end they sent me a check too. After a few months they did a "debit for misposted payment"

update: I was approved today for all 3. I have opened way more than 5 cards in past 24, though, I have disputed a few inquiries on my report that was pulled from Amex a few days apart. Not sure if tha helped.
I only had slightly more than 5, not way more, and was not approved.

So I guess I have to redispute it?
Seems to me that he said it was verified as legitimate. So why redispute?

Based on the new AF?
but why a new af and a partial refund used to be they just refunded minus green af
Was always like that. You get a PRORATED refund on the old AF, and then get charged the new fee prorated from current date up until the original anniversary date.

Got a letter from chase that they are closing one of accounts due to lack of activity, and that even if I use it now it will close. Any way to keep it open? Will they let me transfer the CL?
A while back I got such a letter and called in. They asked me if I still need the card and went ahead to remove that pending closure. They did advise me to use it every once in a while though.

like what info? i just want to know if by not using cards can effect your credit
According to the $2 trick, not using all your cards except for 1 should only improve your score.

Dropr
But in this case the rep might have been right.
All day the online account page looked fine, only there was just a message on top of the page that "account is canceled."
But the next day the part where it lists your MR points was also blank.

Over the phone it should be available
I didn't try, but in my case I was able to transfer out the points before midnight. But before doing that I had asked MR dep't how long my points will be available if I close my card, and they said it's forfeited "immediately".

Iirc even after cards are closed you have 30 days to move your points
Not if ALL cards are closed. IME by midnight that same night the MR points were no longer visible online.

You will have time after
A family member of mine had no time. The rep said he'll have time to close all cards on his own but a short while later he was told all his cards had already been closed.

You get a full refund within 60 days.
IME it wasn't automatic. I had to ask for it. Only when canceling the whole card was a refund automatic but even then not for the AU.

if i have a negative balance on amex and chase cards that are closed how long will it take them to mail me a check w/o me calling up
I didn't try it on a closed account but you can do it online via the dispute center.
