Credit Cards And Finance / Re: CC and Bank Accounts in Israel?
« on: January 13, 2016, 04:15:23 PM »
Reports your bank accounts and possibly income from america if there is any and they look into it. I by mistake gave mine when I didn't realize what it was but when I asked and they told me o told them I don't have my wife's ssn on me and walked out. Haven't been asked again BH and never gave it. I believe that with doar bank you don't need to . Go with that eventhough it might be a little inconvenient.  It's worth it if u have anything to hide. :)

slightly confused. Who does this get reported to? IRS? It reports all money as income? Or is it just a statement that "John Smith currently owns $xx.xx in foreign currency overseas" in which case what's there to be worried about?

My Bank Hapoalim account starting charging me fees, I went in there with a new letter from my Yeshiva that I'm a student and they said that they don't give student accounts to foreigners. Any ideas? Do any other banks still do student accounts or do you need to be grandfathered in?

Bank Mizrachi does, but they make you go to their branch on Ben Yehuda... And their hours are horrendous if you're on a yeshiva schedule (the banking here completely boggles my mind)

Looking too, But there isn't

What's the problem with a w-9? What does it report?

Do you have a link for this?  I spend a ton at Hiltons and this could be huge.

Sorry I didn't mean to get you so excited, I think the offer is capped at a certain amount (5/10k extra points). They sent an email awhile back.
However, for my card they seem to always be running a promotion for bonus points. Before this promo there was one for an extra 3 ppd.

My Citi Hilton Reserve is offering an additional 5 points per dollar, for a total of 15 ppd on Hilton spend. Not sure if it's very targeted or not.

Does the United Mileage App work for the $300 travel? or because they are both chase can have a problem?

Won't work at all. Works with Amex because 1) Amex codes MPX as airline, while Visa and MC don't  (according to reports) and 2) the credit isn't applied automatically- you have to call in or SM to get it applied

Looking for a recommendation for a laptop- I'm going to be using it apart exclusively for typing word documents, with a bit of basic web surfing. Smaller is preferable but still needs to have a big enough keyboard that it's comfortable to type with. Am I supposed to be looking for a notebook? Maybe a tablet with a keyboard attachment?

If I make a dummy account for a friend of mine, can I put his ffn on my application and have the points post to his account? Or does the name on the account have to match the name on the application?

Fee isnt waived the first year. The regular 80k offer is a better bang for the buck (AF waived first year). 7,500 Marriott points isn't worth $85, in most cases.

There's no public offer (that I know of) for that offer, and chase won't match to it.
Also, does that offer come with a free night certificate (cat 1-5) each anniversary?

Make sure to take screenshots as the application page doesn't display the offer.
You may need to be a Marriot rewards member. Good luck!

Been getting an error adding a fid Amex AU card to my wife's account. If the card is already connected to mine, does the serve system not allow me to use the same card with hers?
