100 of them are signed by hand, doesn't say that all of them are signed, just says they come with a numbered certificate of authenticity.  That's my read, at least.

Can anybody verify this signed certificate rumor? DP/Link?

In an email from the mint received prior to release:

On Sale Soon—Special American Eagle Treasure

SAN FRANCISCO (S)  •  ITEM NUMBER: 19XE
MINTAGE LIMIT: 30,000
HOUSEHOLD ORDER LIMIT: 1***

Mark November 14 on your calendar! You won’t want to miss the opportunity to own the 2019 United States Mint American Eagle One Ounce Silver Enhanced Reverse Proof Coin. Minted in elegant 99.9 percent silver, this coin features Adolph A. Weinman’s full-length figure of Liberty on the obverse showcased by its distinctive finish. An enhanced reverse proof coin has the same frosted background as a standard reverse proof but features multiple polished and frosted finishes assigned to different isolated design elements, making the designs more elegant and compelling. The result is a gorgeous innovation on the classic American Eagle coin. For the first time, each coin is also packaged with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity. Keep your eye on this one because Director Ryder has signed the first 100 numbered Certificates of Authenticity which will be randomly mixed into our inventory!

I have 8 coins to be shipped with budget shipping. Got confirmation emails on all of them with tracking numbers (it comes from MS) between Friday and Sunday. Only 2 are moving, one started moving today and one shipped Friday. Anybody else in the same boat?

8 coins!
Did you order them all yourself, or had others doing some of the work for you?

Are you a collector or you just think might as well hold for investment?

The things we do for our kids :)
I bought it for my son, who collects on a small scale but has the entire coin book memorized.
I'm trying not to look at it as having "lost" $500, it was just a $70 expense.

Can anyone confirm this? Has anyone actually gotten a signed certificate?

How many people on this forum actually opened their coin box?  I'm guessing practically none...

Is the value of this coin actually $500+, or do we just have runaway speculation here?

If part of the deal is that option then there is no issue. This is all common sense!

You think they removed the “opt out” button when it went live?

From your screen-name it seems you are a Frum person, so here goes.
As I wrote on a different thread:
According to Halachah, backing out puts one in the category of Mechusarei Emanah.
If there was a set of rules to agree to by opting-in, it could be a a lot worse than Mechusarei Emanah. Possibly even disqualifying the offender from being a Kosher witness!
This was what I heard from a Rav.

If you backed out with PFS prior to the coin sale going live, is that unethical or against Halacha?  They did have that option online.
I backed out because I decided to keep the coin, and while I was set up to get two, realized it would be super difficult. And I only got one at the end...

Their target market is dealers, not individuals/collectors.  If you have a number of coins to be graded (or band together with folks that do) you can reduce your price per grade.

I am planning to keep my coin and want to have it graded as well.  Are there dealers that will send it in for you and charge you based on their own cost?

If you were on a computer I can see someone get 3-4.
But for one that was on a mobile phone I'll be surprised if you got one or two.
Me myself got one from a mobile phone.
Too bad it wasn't near a computer.

I was on mobile and it took me literally 20 min to get one. Was wishing I was at a computer... curious how many people were able to get?

is it remotely possible that elevtd can sell fake items? my friend bought a bunch of red ferragamo belts on elevtd  after seeing ddms post on elevtd sale. however, after he sold it on Ebay the buyer requested to return stating it was a  fake there was no serial number on the back of the belt  and there were 5 holes instead of 3.

Most designer items come with an authentication paper in the package, did he check for that?
