Will SPG Amex get points if used to load RC?

Am I able to fund with RC with my SPG card? Has anyone received their points after doing so? I have seen threads online saying it was not treated as a cash advance, but maybe points won't post.

Trip Report:

I would first like to preface this trip report by saying that LA and SD are great places to go if you are bringing a baby along. In addition, I started off my trip by landing in SD and staying there for a couple nights. Since that doesn't really belong here I'll just say it is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever been. We ended up eating in coffee bean which was 2 blocks from the hotel (W hotel) and buying things in ralphs. As far as activities, we went to the SD Zoo which I believe was very cool (they really have every animal and it is a full day activity). We also went to la jolla beach and walked around the area.

We flew business on United using Singapore Air miles (40k RT), which was really nice considering we had a lap child.

In LA:
Hotel:
- SLS Bev Hills (Upgraded to room with terrace)- Very well located it is literally next to everything.
- Westin LAX (convenient since I had an early flight and Foxs rental car is literally next door so returned car the night before and walked back to hotel).

Activities:
- Grove
- Santa Monica Pier (carousel was nice and something my baby was able to enjoy)
- 3rd Street Promenade
- Malibu (on the way to Oxnard- el matador beach is beautiful)
- Venice Beach
- Bev Center
- Rodeo Drive (Spotted and got to meet Stephen Curry, which was pretty cool)

Restaurants:
- Sweet Rose Creamery (not CY, but really great ice cream)
- Fish Grill (This was my 1st stop in LA when driving from SD, its that good)
- La Gondola (Very solid restaurant all around with great appetizers)
- Tierra Sur (Best rib eye steak I can remember, lamb bacon was also amazing, really everything was just phenomenal and lived up to every bit of the hype. My wife is not a meat person and actually really enjoyed her chicken which is very rare. Somehow managed to save room for dessert and it was very worth it and i am not a dessert guy the soufle with caramel on top was out of this world)
- Ditmas (very cool experience, steak was cooked to perfection and tonys fries and corned beef tongue were a highlight)
- Pats (chocolate chip bread and butter pudding was outstanding)
- SushiKo (good sushi but very slow when I went and after an 20-30 minute wait gave us half our order so willing to try it again but not the best 1st experience)
- Delice Bakery (this place was amazing, their eggs benedict with spinach was great, croissants were great, challah was amazing, lemon meringue pie was out of this world (I'm a big lemon meringue pie guy).
- Elite Cafe (donuts were really good, otherwise its ok)

Shabbat Takeout: Lieders (habanero pepper herring and candied bacon were very good), and got kosher (morrocan fish and matbucha was great, as were their artichoke beignets and "famous" pretzel challah(didn't know what to expect but wanted to try it and it was interesting and in my opinion very good)

PS- Thank you Dan and everyone on the forum for sharing all the info I needed to make this trip possible (from points to flight, hotel, activities, and restaurant info).

Nice can be defined in many ways, but I believe the W was nice and very well located if you want to book an SPG hotel.

Sorry if it is clearly stated elsewhere just can't seem to find clear answer. Seems like FT forum says I have to wait to apply for citi platinum AA or other city AA since I applied for executive card in the summer. Am I still eligible for biz card bonus? Are there any other citi AA cards I can apply for now?
