On The Road / Re: Car Rental Corporate Codes Roundup

Is there a code for national to take off the underage fee (but to keep the unlimited mileage)? (Chabad's isn't good, since it changes the reservation to charge you for mileage)

Jewish community? XVC7220

Starting to rent about twice a month for work and I'd like to use the same agency consistently to build up points/status whatever. I have Exec status with National through Amex. The prices of Avis seem to be usually cheaper but how about their points and rewards compared to National? Or other agencies for that matter? Open to advice and opinions. Thanks!
Depends on length of rentals. If they're short term (1-2 days) then use National (free days); if long term (4+) use Hertz (points)

Ignore that

Up In The Air / Status match to West Jet Gold
« on: September 19, 2016, 06:04:45 AM »
"Status match is back and this time, it’s even easier to experience Gold. If you have top-tier status in another airline OR a travel rewards program, you're halfway there..."

Send in proof of top tier status in another airline’s frequent flyer program, or travel rewards program, before September 23, 2016.

Take at least one WestJet flight between now and October 31, 2016 and you’ll be on your way to enjoying Gold flight benefits through December 2017.

Gold benefits:

Two free checked bags
Ten airport lounge passes
No fee for same-day flight changes requested at check-in
Advance boarding
Priority screening (at select airports)
Four advance seat selection vouchers

General Discussion / Re: The School Crisis
« on: September 19, 2016, 04:41:50 AM »
IME, regarding litvish crowds,

Lakewood takes a socialist view on this where you don't choose which school your child goes to, but your kid gets into a school.

Monsey takes a democratic/capitalist view where you choose a school but your child might not be accepted.

The Monsey way angers some people who feel that when it comes to Jews, we should be more like a community/socialistic.

Haven't been to Izzys smoke house in a while. Someone just mentioned to me they added additional seating 2 doors down? Anyone been there recently? Do they bring you the food, and is there a lot more seating? Tia
Store next door is sit down with a bunch of tables. They bring the food to you.
