Credit Cards / Chase Churnability

Is it safe to say that Chase cards are generally churnable (provided you're not hit by the 5/24 rule)? I know most sites claim you need to wait 2 years to receive another bonus, but I've read on here about being able to quickly get the CSP / UMPE bonuses again, provided you close the old accounts first and do other things.

Is this the case for all/ most of their cards? I'm particularly interested in the IHG and Ritz cards since they aren't yet bound by the 5/24 rule.

Credit Cards / Chase 5/24 Loophole: Pre-qualified Offers

I recently went into a Chase branch with the intention of applying for a pre-qualified / pre-approved card on the spot. Like most of us here, I'm way over 5/24.

Unfortunately, the banker told me he could only have me apply for the CSP, Freedom or Slate (*maybe checking if I was pre-qualified, but perhaps he didn't even really get that part) and that for other cards, such as the UMPE, I would just have to apply online.

Does this seem right? Can I actually not be pre-qualified in branch for non-Chase branded cards, in order to get past the 5/24 rule?

Credit Cards / Maximizing Trip / Baggage Delay and Loss Benefits

Several cards offer baggage delay / loss benefits. For example, I've used my CSP to get reimbursed for expenses when my checked bags have been delayed. The benefit on my CSP was higher than the one on the MP Explorer from what I remember ($500 limit vs $300).

However, is there a better way to get compensated in these situations? Perhaps going directly to the Airline? That seems like it might be more of a hassle. Also, which card do you think is best for baggage delay/ loss protection? I like the CSP for award travel.

In terms of trip delays, is it possible to double dip? If the airline offers some sort of compensation, can I use my CSP's coverage on top of it? What are some of your best compensation stories for "negative" situations like trip or baggage delays that made you happy you ended up in that situation.

Credit Cards / Propel World 40,000 Bonus

I recently got this card and met the minimum spend of $3,000. My statement closed and about 3,000 points posted to my rewards account. I decided to call up Wells Fargo to ask them when the 40,000 bonus points would post and I was told it would happen in 3 months, at the end of the 90 day period I have to meet the $3k spend. Has this been everyone else's experience or is this perhaps a new policy? They told me they're doing this because many people end up returning things after they got the bonus points. This seems absurd. I've never had a bank say something like this. They'll often say things like "Miles may take 1-2 statements to post", but you'll actually receive them in a few days after the statement closes.

Credit Cards / Removing Credit Inquiries - Without B*

So BofA is supposedly going to remove a credit inquiry for an Alaska card for me from Equifax. I was just wondering if someone had an experience like this and knew more or less how long it would take for the inquiry to actually be removed from my report.

I couldn't find much info online. The csr from BofA I spoke to didn't sound like he really knew what he was talking about. He said it would likely take 14-30 days.
