I meant 185k for round trip.
So for the other option, I'd would be 3 flights to get to MLE, correct?
AA charges 90k OW for F to Middle East India (MLE). So round trip would be 180k.  CMB is in Asia 2 which would require 67.5 miles OW in first class.
Yes.  At least.
Bear in mind that AA has unique rules for award redemption routing.  On a Middle East / India reward from USA you must travel transatlantic.  On a Asia award you must travel transpacific. So that makes getting to MLE on two flights fairly difficult without increasing the miles.
One option that won't show up on is Etihad.  They do fly to MLE with just one stop. You need to go to to search award availability and then call AA to book.  Another option is Qatar (searchable on ba).

Ok thanks. And what do I need to find on BA in order to be able to book first class for 185k? Is it just any award availability? Or a certain rate?
Why should it cost 185k?
Any F availability on BA should be bookable on AA.
Another suggestion to potentially save miles depending on your preferences. Search for award travel to CMB (Colombo, Sri Lanka). For some reason it is considered Asia 2 according to AA and it's cheaper to get there (transpacific only) with AA award travel.  From CMB to MLE is 1+hour flight at 4.5k Avios.

AA won't show anything reasonable. Best bet is to piece together a trip leg by leg on to find availability.  Then call AA to redeem. Airlines such as Malaysia, Qatar and Cathay Pacific which fly to MLE don't show up on AA search engine.

Malé, Maldives... Is that not the correct airport code?
It's MLE

What is the likelihood of CX ORD-HKG F or J partner award opening up in August?
Trying to decide between booking KE F JFK-ICN-HKG (available) with 80k UR versus CX Y JFK-ORD-HKG+ with AA with the hope that F or J open up. Rather burn AA than UR and with AA award I can add another destination at same price (don't need stopover).
Also, if I book CX JFK-ORD-HKG (Y) and JFK-HKG opens up (any class) can I switch flights without a fee?

Was looking at LHR-AUH.
Anyway, more interested now in AUH-IAD F during August (on 787). Seems like ALL F is blocked out during summer (July-Aug). I can find F quite consistently in June and September, but not one date in July-August. I have checked at Saver and and Freedom levels and on many flights there are 8 seats available (the entire cabin!) but no Guest F available, which means they are simply not releasing F seats at the moment for summer travel on that route. Do you see something different?

Is the DDMS laptop HP Pavilion 13.3″ Touch-Screen Core i3 2-in-1 Laptop For $299.99 Shipped From Best Buy a good deal?
Is it a decent laptop for light/moderate office work (Internet, MSOFFICE, photo management/uploading (not necessarily editing))?

So, what is the consensus minimum time to wait between AORs? Chase, Amex, Citi?

Fine. We'll let it slide this time.

Sounds like a heck of a routing. All EY there and all QF back?
Where do you see F Guest availability on A380? I checked many dates and cannot find a single seat (only on 77). I can't even find Guest J on A380.

I didn't see a charge and just received a cancellation emaill

How long after AOR is reasonable to apply again (and expect approval) with Chase, Amex and/or Citi (average FICO)?

787 is brand new product. F is Suites (not apartment as in A380). J is same as A380, allegedly best business product on market (have not been). Reports are that F hard product is only marginally superior to J in new 787.

Can I apply and get approved for Citi Hhonors Reserve and get the weekend certs now if I just got approved for regular Citi Hhonors Visa 3 weeks ago? If not, how long do I need to wait? Advantages to striking now vs waiting? (would like the certs soon)
