You can always try to do a product change to a no AF card.
Good point.

Credit Cards / Re: credit score
« on: May 12, 2016, 12:17:59 AM »
Most important is keeping your oldest card open.

Secondary is keeping a handful of old cards open long term.

For internal scoring, it may be beneficial to keep your oldest card open with a specific card issuer.  I know Chase weighs this when making decisions.
Thanks.
I'm trying to decide if it's worth paying the annual fee... So far only reason in favor is length of card...

I'm sure this is discussed somewhere in this thread but a quick search didn't pull up a direct answer.
When calculating oldest existing account for credit history is each bank important or just entire credit history? Practically, if a card from Amex is your oldest card with them but you have older cards with another bank, is there any compelling credit score (or future applications?) reason to keep the card open?

does someone who arrives in first class in Frankfurt  and continues in business class get the private limo from the plain and to the plain?
To the plane, yes (so long as it's a LH group flight).  From the plane no, because the FCT is not a transit terminal.  However, if you land at a remote stand you will get a private vehicle (or semi private) to take you to your next gate or the First Class Lounge or passport control etc.

Please read the question carefully before answering:

Does anyone know if my wife, traveling on her Israeli passport can transit in AUH (or DOH)?
Looking for someone with experience please.
Transit in AUH doesn't require passport control.  Leaving Airport obviously does.  Preclearance in AUH may raise some eyebrows of some local staff in AUH with an Israeli passport, but it's USA passport control, so it's not an issue.  Did not travel on Israeli passport, but that's my experience both transit and leaving Airport.  Not sure about DOH, but upon arrival, it seemed like access to the rest of the airport was without passport control (I left the airport).

Used the numbers I believe you posted. They confirmed that it would be there. They asked what time i wanted it and I said an hour after i arrived from the connecting flight. They asked if Lounge A or B i said FCT they were confused but then figured it out after 20 minutes on hold.

Twitter @Lufthansa referred me to @Lufthansa_FCT which said sorry but we will scold our staff. Reported that to @Lufthansa and they sent me some link to fill out some more info. Still waiting on compensation. Not expecting anything. Swiss didnt get us KSML in J on outbound and i got 5k M&M.

Sorry to hear.  Worked flawlessly for me.

FWIW I called a week before i was at FCT and no kosher food showed up. My hostess said it was not an option in the FCT. Didnt argue.
When you called they promised it?
FWIW, I called and they had it.  Twitter DM did not work.

I have had quick turnaround times with the Twitter handle both times that I needed to get in touch with them.
What kind of SOS did you send out?

JK. No response. My guess is that as things get more popular they become less effective, quite common in our 'industry'.

Which number is that?
Well, I thought it was AJK.  Now I see D93 posted upthread:

I called LH first class services. Their number is 496986799444.

added to wiki, toll free US # 1-855-427-4377
Special line for private jets and other specialty first class. Said that they have been getting a lot of calls like this but they are not the right place and can no longer help. They said to call 877-999-6713, which also did not work (Key contact for travel agents?).
Any email or other US numbers?
