Try redepositing in app and endorse it.

I rarely endorse checks a d they all go through, I guess it's checked randomly.
i tried. didnt work, said its a duplicate. i never endorse checks either, i guess because it was a large amount? or maybe theyre flagging stimulus checks so they can ensure that there isnt fraud

nj. finally went from pending to filed after 4 weeks. filed on april 5th.
online i get this now:
Claim Status: Filed
Date of Claim: 04/05/2020
Weekly Benefit Rate: $xxx
Remaining Balance: $xxx
Next Payable Week: 05/02/2020
Last Week Paid: 04/25/2020
Last Paid Amount: $xxx

what is the process now? i didn't get any money yet, and how do i get my money for the last 4 weeks.
why does it say last week paid was 4/25 when i didnt get anything yet?
FTR i didnt receive any emails yet or physical mail

slightly off-topic. chase rejected my mobile deposit because i didnt endorse it (im assuming because it was a large check). is there any way to deposit it in branch and still keep the actual check?

Still capped at $28/mo? More members also means more payouts, unfortunately.
yes but they reach the payout quicker. Look at the example I posted up thread. Whereas the old model would have taken 3 months to raise the funds for 11 people with the $28 cap, now it only takes 2 months

I am reading about “old model” and new “new model” , when did it change? And who was notified?

Eagerly waiting for the response @JACKBLUE as he knows the boss personally
only difference being how many members. Old model was supposed to be capped at 14k members x $7 per yasom = 100k. New model- unlimited members, and essentially collecting less per yasom every time because there are more members. Yasom still gets the same 100k. That is the only difference

77*20000=1540000
exactly my point. They aren’t collecting $77 from every member. (According to the old model they would have) now they only mentioned may and June which would be $56, which equals just over $1.1m

And to all those who wanted to know about the rabbonim involved, every time there is a collection it is under that family’s rav and they tell you who it is in the collection email

I don't understand how this makes sense. Either bill less now or bill fewer times now. Why apply it towards a different case and then bill extra for that one too?
they don’t bill extra the next time. People just don’t see it on a practical level. Example: someone dies in January and leaves over 4 yesomim. They should collect $28 in January and $7 in February based on the old model. Now they would just collect $28 in January. When I said leftover i meant within the $7.... one of their main goals was that it should be increments of $7 because otherwise people feel like they’re getting charged random amounts every month. With their $7 collections you feel like u know exactly what it’s for every time. (They do charge less frequently now that there are more members. Take a look at this last collection notice “
We are hereby notifying you that due to the tragic passing of an Areivim Member from Lakewood, NJ who left behind a widow and 10 orphans we will be initaiting a collection on behalf of the family in the months of May and June. ” collecting 11x7=77 but somehow only collecting in may and June)

I’m puzzled by the numbers.

They are looking to raise 8 million, and are asking $400/member. Mathematically that implies there are 20,000 members (not 14,500 as someone suggested above)

If so, why do they usually charge each member $7/yasom instead of $5/yasom?

By charging $7/yasom aren’t they in effect raising $140,000 per yasom (20,000 x 7) , and if they are paying out $100,000/yasom? Where is that extra $40,000 for each collection?
their original model was to have 14k members give $7 each yasom. When their membership exceeded 14k they changed their model. Every time there is a “collection” they take $7 from every member. The extra money goes for the next time they need to make a collection, they just take less...

Got it. After your claim is approved you will claim back to the start date. You do not need to do it every week if you don't mind waiting for your check either.
I wouldn’t mind the check already, but i have no way of certifying. BH our stimulus check came in the mail today.

Either way if they are backdating claims, do they have a system for you to certify for the prior weeks? Or do they just assume?
i havent been able to succesfully certify since my application 3.5 weeks ago. If only i can get through to an agent to find out the answers to all these questions

Shulem92 -
I can only tell you what worked for us.
The Cumberland number picked up while the others never worked out.
I believe you should re-certify every week even before your claim is "filed". You have nothing to lose.
the system wont let me...

I'm not sure your question but I know that you need to certify your hours each week
my original question was if i have to certify every week if my claim is still pending. As per the email i received, and the fact that the system doesnt allow me to certify, i am assuming that i cant. I just wanted to verify if all those here who were saying i have to certify every week were talking in general, or specifically in my scenario where my claim is still pending as opposed to filed.

i applied in nj around 3 weeks ago, and still show pending. every week i get an email explaining how to recertify every week. am i supposed to be answering those questions every week if i was never even approved yet?
I would reply. Atleast in NY it can take up to 3 weeks and once approved youll get a few worth

Cant reply to the email, and when attempting certifying at my correct time, it errors out and says i need to speak to an agent.
yes.
Source? Even if claim is still pending? Because the email i received (quoted below) sounds like thats the not the case.
Same in NJ.

To get a status on your claim, please go to our website at https://myunemployment.nj.gov and select the ‘Check claim status here’ option.  Enter your information for the status of your claim.  Keep checking daily until your Claim Status shows ‘Filed’.  Once it’s in that status and shows your Weekly Benefit Rate (WBR), you may Certify for Weekly Benefits (which is the next option next to the one for checking your claim status).

- If your claim status is showing as "Pending," please continue to check until it is showing as "Filed".  Please check back regularly for an update to your status, but be aware that due to the unprecedented volume of claims filed, there may be a 2-3 week delay.

It would seeem like fom this email that you cant certify until your case transitions from pending to filed.

maybe try including your status bar that has the date in the screenshot.

These contact-us emails are all auto responses...

Thanks.
We actually got through on the phone to an office in NJ, though not the Ocean County one.
Hopefully, it'll all work out.
Try calling the Cumberland number.
We got through.
All the numbers end up on the same queue. I tried today at 8:45AM and they were already at max call volume for the day “please call back the next business day”.

PSA: i don’t know the legality of this advice, but the fact that you have to certify at a certain time, is really only like a “paywall”. If you make up the last 4 of the SSN to match the correct time slot, you will get into the actual certification window, and can then put in your correct info
