Is there a way to get Hilton to charge your CC at the time of booking,
and not when checking in, like airlines do?

Make a prepaid reservation. Itís usually cheaper too

I meant other than delta or VS
I remember seeing KLM maybe?
AF/KLM are codeshare partners but not mileage partners.

LY no IFE in J offered $100 voucher or 100 Matmid Point. This is for me and my wife together. Which one should I take?

BL'N never want to fly LY again.
Definitely 100$.
You can buy matmid points for 1$ each.

I have Chase UR or Marriott points. I understand they can be transferred to Qantas and used on El Al. But using UR seems like a better value, at 1.25 redemption (have CSP) comes to about 60k UR whereas it would be approx 75k Qantas at a 60k:25k transfer ratio for Marriott points . Any input? TIA!
Definitely book through chase UR.

Up In The Air / Re: Asia Miles revises miles expiration policy
« on: December 10, 2019, 09:28:30 AM »
This benefits people who have Asia miles racked up for whatever reason, but doesn't really matter much for people who transfer when they need, as the time to use the points is now shorter.
It actually doesnít benefit people who have miles racked up. The new policy only applies to miles earned after 1/1/20

Do I need a passport to book an international ticket? (The passport is in transit)
No. If the airline requires a passport, you can just make up a number. It doesnít have to match when you check in.

I'm based in New York, and I have Amex and Chase points.
I would guess United is your best bet. No expiration and you can transfer from Chase
