Thanks, just filled it out. lets see how it goes.
I wonder if I can get them to add an extra bag to my existing ticket if I get the status upgrade.

Up In The Air / Re: Help with Booking through Asia Miles
« on: December 30, 2015, 01:43:05 AM »
Does anyone here have experience booking through Asia Miles with partner airlines besides CX, BA, Dragonair, or Qantas? I've hit a brick wall and have no idea what to do. Want to check if they have award availability before I transfer points from MR but I'm finding it impossible to get through to a rep. Apparently they don't believe in pushing 0 for operator, and the only way to get through to someone is to put in my member number into automated service, but it keeps rejecting my number as invalid. Trying to finish up booking a trip so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!
had the same problem. don`t know. does their hong kong # do the same thing?

When paying for extra baggage on air France, on the us website it's 80 usd and on the Canadian it's 80 cad.

The question was, for a flight that isn't in the database how to put the flight info in manually. That's how
I meant there's no option to manually put in travel time.

Book any type of flight on elal.com (award/revenue) between 11/22 and 12/05 and enter to win a free flight on LY every year for the next 25 years! 2 winners picked daily, a total of 20 winners! You need to enter Matmid info during booking to enter. However, they are now offering to open accounts for free for the sale period. For more details:
http://www.elal.com/en/Deals/Offers/Hot-Deals/Pages/EL-AL-Birthday-221115.aspx
you must travel every 12 months, and they charge fuel surcharges for all award tickets, so it may come out to be an expense to actually use the whole prize.

I've been advised of a workaround for the time being. Leave any 1 field blank (either date, airline, or flight number), and a blank form will roll out. You can then fill in all the information manually.
doesn't give travel time info in that case.

Hi DDF Family,
Due to personal need I created an itinerary web app. Seemed that there were many others interested, so I have opened it to the public. Long term plan is to eventually monetize it in some way, but for now it is all free.

Any feedback, or features you would like added can be posted here and I will have someone respond.

Thanks!
can you add on easyjet and other lowcost airlines and/or have an option to manually enter flight info you don`t have in your database?

im looking at fares originating tel aviv the low fares require a stop and change of planes in paris .is their anything to worry about due to the situation in paris now.
i personally experienced an anti semitic situation in CDG and vowed never to stop off in paris again but as they say hakesf yaane es hakol
but my experience was a year ago now it seems the whole country which btw is 10% muslim is on wheels
did it yesterday, no prob!

I just read the thread, how is it any different from what I said? In his situation, he's booked through LX and will earn miles and more miles. When they say in  the case of an LY flight number in the email, it means let say you book a ticket through orbitz that is put up together in their system, then yes he could earn matmid points. But an LY flight number means that this part of the ticket is issued by LY, as he would need to check in through LY system even though some people are checking in through LX on the same flight if it is a codeshare.
Not true about check in. you always check in with the operating airline

After all these years, I still never managed to get a definitive answer to this question: what kind of miles can you earn on a codeshare flight where the marketing and operating carriers are not common partners in (almost) any mileage program? For example, for a flight from Zurich to Tel Aviv that has a Swiss flight number, but is actually operated by El Al, can you earn:

1) ...Star Alliance miles?
2) ...Matmid points?
3) ...only miles from a program that is partners with both El Al AND Swiss, such as South African?
4) ...no miles whatsoever of any type?

If anyone has any actual experience (or at least first-hand knowledge) that they can share - not just guesswork and speculation - I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!
Had the opposite situation: ticketed by LY and operated by LX and got matmid points.

i ended up getting them to issue me now all 4 tickets leaving tlv-jfk on november 15 yesterday, but aeroflot refuses to allow me 2 luggagesas i would have had on transaero. this is the email i got:
DEAR   M65 , as  far  , as  your  ticket is reissued on SU flights ,  your  free baggage allowance / check in bag / will be according to Aeroflot  norm   . thanks, regards

i sent them back the link on priceline showing that tlv-jfk is allowed 2 luggages but have not heard back from them, anyone have the link from aeroflot that clearly states 2 luggages?
any other ideas to pull it off?
aeroflot changed their baggage policy as of nov 1. http://www.dansdeals.com/archives/75475

There are some cards like Barclay's world arrival or blue amex that only reimburse you or enable you to use your points if you make qualified travel purchases.  Many times purchases from travel online sites do not qualify.  I thought it would be helpful if we can run down those travel online sites in which the cc get billed directly from the airline, hotel or car rental agency even though you make the reservation through the third party online site

1) Priceline
vayama, expedia, orbitz (it comes up on the statement as orbitz, but on the reference it says "on behalf of xxx airline) for flights
