Credit Cards / Re: Credit Card Retention Bonuses
« on: March 10, 2016, 06:51:30 PM »
Im sorry if this question is redundant. I could not seem to find my answer in the thread. Just got hit with AF for my SWA Biz card. I have business and personal accounts with chase. I called to try to have them wave the AF or at least give me some extra miles. I spoke to a cs rep and then to a supervisor and they said there is nothing they can do. Any suggestions ? Or is this just the new policy?

TIA

Getting retention on the biz has nothing to do with closing the PRG.

I know, but is it worth closing the personal and assume the biz will offer a retention ? the Biz PRG is still in its first year ?

My Personal PRG is up for the AF, I wanna call tonight to cancel. I got a retention bonus last year. What are the odds of getting it again? I also have a PRG BIZ that is under a year old. Should I just cancel the personal card and leave the Biz open and hope I get a retention bonus after my first year of having the Biz card ?

TIA

You can call the DOH, and there's generally a local ombudsman. Most practices aren't interested in the hassle, and if they're wrong, and investigation will show it.

Thats a good idea, Thanks

Call the dr office and try to make a deal.  Be nice, not belligerent. 'So sorry for the confusion when I asked about you being in my insurance network. But I wasn't expecting these charges. Is there something that can be done about it?/ Can I have a discount on it?'

Is there any  bureau that governs these type of matters that I would be able to call ? Or Dr's don't need to answer to anyone?

I would call the insurance company and/or the doctor and ask them to explain your bill before trying to dispute anything.

Even when something is covered by insurance, that doesn't mean you don't have to pay anything

The insurance did cover some, but very little. I asked the DR's office specifically if they are in my specific network, which would mean I would only be charged  a copay (which they did charge me) and they confirmed they were.  I was  then charged a balance over the copay and what my insurance covered . I called the insurance company they said they are not in my  specific network. Oh man, I guess you live and learn.

Dud. Turned on for a minute. Then screen started flashing. I saw from my bar that all my apps synced up, so it seems it works but screen is fried

Did you try charging it? Don't. Don't give up hope yet. My phone did the same leave it in rice for another couple days and don't touch it.

I recently had a sports injury, I called the Dr's office in advance to find out if they were an in network provider with my insurance company. They confirmed that they were. I went for a visit and x'rays and just received a $300 bill in the mail. Is there any way to dispute the charge? If it comes down to it I will just pay the fee because I do not want it to negatively affect my credit. I would appreciate any information anyone may have. TIA

How long to wait? I need the phone

Last week I was in Montreal Snowboarding. Unfortunately the only Jacuzzi they had was outside. I ran from the hotel straight into the Jacuzzi and yes you guessed it I forgot my phone was in my pocket. Around 5 minutes later it hit me, I touched my pockets said some explatives and quickly jumped out. I looked at my Nexus s5 and kissed it good bye. I figured I had nothing to lose, I would do the good old rice trick. Unfortunately for me on many androids the only way to remove the battery is by practically dismantling the phone. I sucked out as much of the water as I could and I threw it in a bucket of rice. My carrier is T-mobile so I took out the sim card and borrowed a phone for a couple of days. After 2 days of sitting in rice, and a couple of kappittalach of tehillim my phone turned on lol. No matter what, DO NOT plug it in you must be patient. If you plug it in you will fry the insides of the phone. Good LUCK.
