We got the Fairmont Stearns & Foster after stackable BF coupons. Amazing bed.
Is there another BF coupon that this can stack with for a mattress? ?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1064650458818592768&

I agree that this constitional amendment was backed by the Ds, but I think Florida was one of only 4 states that did not allow released felons to vote.

More surprising to me is that the one constitutional  amendment (of 12) to not pass, would have lowered property taxes for most homeowners (by increasing homestead exemtion on homes with at least $100k in assessed value) Who doesn’t vote for a tax break!?!?

And in Broward, we decided to increase our sales tax to 1% to 7% (matching Miami-Dade and palm beach).

BIGGEST story for Florida Jews supporting state funding for Jewish day schools was the governor’s manshion going to DeSantis (R) who supports charter schools and is expected to nominate 3 new justices to the state Supreme Court.

Destination Guides And Trip Planning / Re: Joining Kosherica cruise minyan
« on: November 06, 2018, 11:55:32 AM »
Years ago I worked on a couple of Kosherica cruises. For some services (including all shabbos services and whenever there was food/entertainment), a minyan was no problem, but for some of the mid-week minyanim when the ship was docked at a port of call, kosherica customers saying kadish were very grateful for a few non-Kosherica guests who helped make the minyan.

Can I just say, as a Modern Orthodox Jew I personally get frustrated by being asked to put tefillin on- often while I'm wearing a Kippah?
With complete confidence, it is not unheard of to find a jew wearing a yarmulke who has not put on teffilin. Is it so difficult to say "thank you very much, I already put on teffilin today"?

I recently went for the Casper (the "Casper"). I find that it feels like sleeping on a foam padding compared to the brighter and more defined support of the W mattress. We're coming up to the end of 90 days and I'm thinking of returning. I bought it (+ sheets and pillows) using a $300 off $1,500 Amex offer on my SPG card, stacked with a 10% off coupon code.

I'm thinking of trying Nectar, a cheaper mattress in a box company. Nectar is not as well rated by Consumer Reports, but they have a 365 day risk-free trial period, so that's tempting.

Casper arranged for Salvation Army to pick up our Casper last Friday. No hassle and the refund posted as soon as I sent them a photo of the charity receipt left by the Salvation Army. To date, Amex has not clawed back the $300 from the original Casper purchase. We're now trying the Dream Cloud.  It's notably more firm than the Casper and has a taller profile.

After 7 email requests, 36,000 (of 45,000 expected) avios posted to my account on 10/2.

Seems odd that this is still live. This is an Accor Hotel bookable on their own website. I'm sure they have a large IT dept open 24 hours. Even if they aren't completely competent by now someone would have figured this out and shut it down. Perhaps this is another Wideroe glitch?
Also, it has very limited participation in Accor.

Trying to figure out whats going on. So it seems like that flights that have stopovers the points become double. However on some of these the tax is only once 5.60 while on others (same stopover airport) the tax is doubled to 11.20. Is this an error?

Yes. Further, I found that if you proceed to the checkout page, the points cost drops to 1,300.

I'll give it a try too. I just scheduled a return (to salvation army) of my Casper mattress two weeks from tomorrow.  I see Dreamcloud has a a $200-off Fall coupon + 6% back through Ebates. Did you use any other good offers or get any accessories included?

A new option I'm considering:

Chief advantage: comes with euro top (something I have not seen with other bed in box companies), which I think is part of the reason our W Hotel store bed was so comfortable.
Other nice advantages: 365 trial period and much cheaper.

Think I'm leaning towards giving this one a go.
so what did you end up getting? How did the Casper return go?

I've been to NoMa a few times....

We went with friends between RH and YK and had a great time as well.  I ordered the BRULÉED PEAR Pizza  for the table and all enjoyed (reminds me of the Basil Bosc Pear, Arugula, Blue Cheese Pizza, but a bit more mild) They also provide free valet parking, which I thought was classy.

The winner is willing to sell the 2 tickets for $25,000.
If interested, please contact us at or 845-659-0690.
Did the raffle rules specify what occurs if the winner fails to specify passenger names for the cabin on the cruise prior to your 36 hour deadline?
