Does your cancellation email say what happens to your ticket price?
How about you go to your account on United and see if there's a way to show no credit has been issued?

Reservation, IKPPVK, was cancelled and the value of your ticket can be applied to future travel on United Airlines. Please note the confirmation number for your reservation. When you are ready to travel again, return to this cancelled reservation in Manage Reservations to make changes for a future trip.
Please do not reply to this e-mail.

unfortunately this is what the email says, but I have to pay a $200 change fee to use that value so i'm stuck

virgin australia won't reimburse me for my connecting United flight. "until a letter from the airline is received stating my credit has been voided." United's cancellation policy is no refunds and if you want you can pay $200 change fee and then use the  value of the ticket towards a new flight. So they are claiming i have a credit with United. Any ideas?

Why not book a refundable ticket or hotel room? Once credit posts you can refund it? I had that with a United change fee- they said they would refund it, but meanwhile chase credited me the travel credit. So I ended up with a credit balance in the card.

Anyone going to bother with DOT complaint? If it really wasn't ticketed yet, probably don't have much of a complaint again Virgin Australia.
I need help to file a complaint- my flight was just canceled almost two weeks later. Already booked an LA flight and CC was charged for this flight as well.

But is it easy to product change or are they giving people a hard time?

Its $5.60 for flights leaving the US , for flights leaving Canada, the taxes are much higher.
what about flights booked with avios on QT? what are the taxes to be expected?

How much is the change in fare?
sorry for the delay- between $500-$600. Plus the change fee of $275

One way: TLV-ORD Nov. 26
Non-stop/Maximum stops/Any: any but prefer no more than 2 as it is important to be back by Sunday evening

Departure dates: My issue is that I have a paid ticket that I cannot use fully. I have two options- pay change fee for the return ticket or book another one way award ticket home. Outbound is 11/15 Need to be back by 11/27 so I am very limited on the date- needs to be 11/26. Change fee is $275 plus change in fare so I would prefer if possible to try an award route.

Class: coach
Seats: 2
Alliance/Airline: Any- I only have CSR points

any help is appreciated- I have never booked an award ticket and don't know where to start and am overwhelmed.

First do an Ink Preferred and a UA biz now, then wait 3-5 months and get a UA club or explorer and a Marriott personal.
thank you- guidance is much appreciated

one more question- once I'm maxed out with 5/24 then should i wait 3-5 months and apply for other non 5/24 or non chase and forget about ever being under 5/24 again for chase or hold off?

Also-have CSR -cant get bonus on preferred
and AU on CF and CFU, so I don't see a need for those
southwest does't interest me
The way I understand I can do Marriot and the united explorer and club card- explorer has limited bonus now- should i wait on marriot and hold out for better explorer bonus or do marriot and club card and wait on explorer since it comes and goes? one account will fall of sept. 2018

If I book a paid flight to TLV on multiple airlines- brussels and United will the free baggage apply? TIA
