What if a Jew running for president said I am a Jew first and an American second. How about a Muslim saying I am a Muslim first and an American second. I wonder how America would respond.
If its a contradiction then theres a problem that would be either phony to your country or religion for example you can make the argument that bernie sanders is a phony.

I never said the founding fathers or Ted as you call him were not religious. Many were deeply religious and with there great wisdom saw the need for separation of church and state.
Bingo! That means that being religious and upholding the constitution "with your last breath" is not phony... correct?

Since you asked sure.  :)
Maybe start with John Adams who many regard as one of the most important Founding Fathers of the United States of America.
Im so proud of you that you picked the only one who said that america is not founded on Christianty. even so he was a deeply religiuos man and still felt that it wasnt a contradiction. Just for the facts more than half of the signed on the constitution held degrees from bible seminaries. I think its ludicrous to claim that the founding fathers were not more or just as religious as Ted and they still felt it wasnt a contradiction.  even with all that you spewed i still believe your smart enough to understand, and do the research yourself if it truly troubles you.

You don't have a problem with voting for someone that believes all Jews will go to hell if they don't accept his religion? If that's the type of person you want to vote for that is your choice.

You have any sources where the founding fathers put religion before America?

George Washington
1st U.S. President

"While we are zealously performing the duties of good citizens and soldiers, we certainly ought not to be inattentive to the higher duties of religion. To the distinguished character of Patriot, it should be our highest glory to add the more distinguished character of Christian."
Is that good enough or you want thomas jefferson, john hancock, samuel adams also?
And what does the fact that he believes all that dont believe in his religion will go to hell (and whats your source on that other than that pastor who endorsed him?), why is that not a reason to vote for him? Does voting for him imply that i agree to that, is that some form of avoda zara? is voting for hilliary עובר on מדבר שקר תרחק?
if the founding fathers did put religion first but yet wrote and upheld the constitution are the "phonies"?
Perhaps voting altogether is phony, do you not believe לב מלכים ביד השם?

Better!  :)
The correct answers are religion and yes. IMHO I don't care if he supports Israel he is not qualified to be president. This is a guy who claims he will defend the constitution with his last breath. Complete phony.
He clearly stated hes first religion second american third conservative and fourth Republican. However being so religious and a man of integrity and so strong about upholding the constitution which clearly has separation of church and state i dont believe that first being religious will hinder on his presidency.
The answer to your second question is most likely yes but what again why should that impede on his presidency.
And maybe you can finally explain why hes a phony? The founding fathers were deeply religious and yet upheld the constitution where they phonies also? Are they/he phonies to thier religion or thier country? Is there a difference between them? Im not quite familiar with Christianity, and perhaps those are a contradiction, can you explain? Ever considered that its different from Judaism and doesn't contradict upholding the constitution. I fail to understand why you make such statements.

Cruz has dominated the rules committee choices as well. I think more so than the delegates.
Not sure i understand... they haven't changed the rules yet, the current rules are from over a year ago... and those rules are meant to stop Cruz. .. or are you referring to the fact that he knows the rules, playing by them and beating them at their own game?

Trump is the only one that can win this outright and I don't see that happening. You can throw the RNC rules out the window once we have a brokered convention. They are trying to recruit Paul Ryan. How many states did he win?
The rules committee can throw out rule 40 or change it, whatever they feel like. But considering Cruz s reputation of the last few months getting the support of delegates in Louisiana, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Indiana, North Dakota and others it would seem he has a pretty nice chance if it comes to a 2nd ballot. Unless of course the rules committee changes the rules that it has nothing to with delegates... lets all keep in mind that the RNC is a "private organization" and they can do whatever they like... if you dont like it open your own corrupt party...

Actually at this point he has a better chance than Cruz or Trump.
Care to explain why he has a better chance than say Cruz, especially according to the current RNC rules you must win 8 states to be eligible?

I actually like Kasich. This thread is about support for Cruz but Trump is dominating the discussion. Cruz portrays himself as walking on water and I am not buying it. You and others like Cruz and that is fine.
What's Cruz doing that portrays him walking on water?
The fact that trump is dominating the discussion is #1 mostly as it pertains to Cruz and #2 trying to convince trumpsters that Cruz is the best choice we can make at the moment

Who said I support him?
So who would be your ideal candidate who may accept a nomination?
No such thing as an ideal candidate. This is politics we are talking about and no I am not going to disclose whom I am voting for.

My bad, you seem to be hating on kasich and if your now backing of trump and you previously narrowed it down to a 4 person race (sorry dont know how to add more posts) id assume your knocking out kasich that leads us to belive that your either voting for bernie or hillary, you also previously said hillary is a extremist, unless you hold yourself to be an  extremist ill have to conclude your a Bernie Commee ... entirely possible your playing devils advocate and got us all confused ...

So you are saying that Trump is doing good saying the things he is saying?
No, hes doing a terrible job! Why is it after every stupid thing the guy says his campaign comes out with a well researched and prepared statement correcting and explaining what he really meant... thats a problem... even worse is when a campaign advisor or staffer says something wrong for ex. "Gestapo tactics" and the campaign doesn't come out and walk it back. Why is it when he does a phone interview he doesnt make such bad mistakes, if the abortion thing was over the phone it would have never happened and the reason is simple, he has notes with the "right" answer what HE thinks people want to hear, he'll get better (polling/)ratings that way
