General Discussion / Re: Private Shechita - what should I order?
« on: March 07, 2019, 04:10:54 PM »
Do these guys really have all the kavanos when they shecht, or do they just go through the motions of going to mikvah etc.?
Listen to the podcast, it shouldn't be too difficult to form an opinion...

I wasn't joking at all. I heard it straight from a very well respected rav hamachshir on meats who said it about his own hechsher. He was very straightforward about it. He is catering to a clientele to whom the inyanei kedusha of the shochet is very important al pi chassidus or whatever and this is a part of that. He told me that this is the difference in his run.
I'm aware that you know,(frankly if you didn't you can confirm with the guy who sits a couple rows behind you second Seder..) I posted it for the benefit of those who don't know the greatness and holiness of chassidish Shechita..

Can you give a quick synopsis of what I should be hearing there?
Basically what you said isn't a joke.. and some war stories of Mashgiachim checking the mikvah and only finding one wet towel and 2 dry for 3 shochtim..

Tech Talk / Re: Sprint service in Lakewood

Service is very good next to yeshiva. Although I'm on a smartphone which uses LTE.
Also if you live in a basement it can make a big difference.
I find the only place in Lakewood where Service isn't great is near yeshiva.. 99% of basements are fine for me

This has definitely spread awareness. A voice note went around today about a magid shiur who spoke about this for 15 minutes.
He Spoke very nicely.. someone in Monroe. Any clue who it is?

I'm going to be interviewed by him tomorrow.
What topics should I bring up?
There's a misconception/lie/fabrication going around that this whole thing is somehow squarely on your shoulders for creating this idea and promoting a concept of recklessly opening credit cards for points and live a carefree lifestyle and just accumulating debt.. some go further to even claim you somehow promoted Sterling..

This is clearly coming from people who haven't the slightest clue to what they're talking about or what your about. Nor did they bother to even read or ask someone about it... Non the less this is being perpetuated and peddled if you want to dispell the notion use every pulpit you got...

He's notorious for post interview edits.. don't think you would care much...

The full interview is always available in the "maareh mikomos" section. But never the less worth it to keep it in mind.

this was already posted on Kol Haolam? We never confirmed final ad.. I guess someone just shared it... Can we get a vote? yes link or no link?
Yes, on their status.. I was surprised, I thought you'd post here first the final ad
I think it's enough.  To me, including a link says "hidden agenda."
I think no link and "concerned community members" says "hidden agenda" loud and clear. when there's a link it's very easy to see who's behind it then one can decide what the intentions are. I personally think a link to Dan's article is very credible and understandable where it's coming from. Concerned community members sounds like it's coming directly from someone who got screwed and there's another side to the story which may or may not be true...

I think a link would make it more legit, without people speculating who's behind it etc but otherwise it's perfect

I've seen these Spotify accounts for $5 on eBay I've wondered how it's done. Found out from here. it's regular stealing

https://slickdeals.net/f/5805434-people-on-ebay-selling-spotify-premium-for-15-a-year-legit?page=2#commentsSection
You can get them for free from telegram or moded app stores.. if your stealing anyway there's no reason to pay someone $5 for it..
While your at it grab a YouTube premium also...

Paused isn't the same as using 3P SIM.
...Some reps clearly interpreted it different.. hence..
Some of the reps were claiming that a 3p sim would be considered paused Service which would be an issue even within 120 days..
Unless 7 days of paused Service is going on the 60 days and cancellation on 120...
