True. Though , those products are "specifically" for that purpose. They are supposed to be used that way.

so i guess this can only happen if u do that with large numbers of cash, like paying huge cc balances with thousands of dollars, a few hundred $ a month to pay your cc bill can be a problem?

I didn't say it would. I said that they as a financial institution can use any excuse they want
[/quote] I dont think they will consider it as money laundering CMIIW

Never know . Do what ur comfortable with.

can u elaborate pls? what problems? And why?
Elaborating the problem and why:
To banks & loaning institutions cash means money laundering. If they have any suspicions of any sort, they will say that they have the right without any proof whatsoever to close you down. Whether it be a checking, savings or credit card account - whether it be personal or business. They don't need proof. All they need is a transaction which will give them an excuse to say that there is a suspicion and thereby foreclose the account/s .
Does this happen rarely ?- I think so. However it could and does happen to people who are innocent as well.

Any Amex rep can see your MR activity the same way you and I could, your "new system" is completely unverified info.
So you're saying that this is all just a bunch of anxiety. Double dipping same product is still fine?

Does Chase look differently at that ! If they hate Cash ?
To be honest, I don't know. I'm comfortable doing it though. However ; eventhough it might be different because it's two different transactions for two different accounts (1 checking and 1 credit) , according to what pillansyme is saying above there is still what to worry about

yes.
That's not paying off your cc in cash. That is depositing cash in to your checking account

im confused its not ideal to go in in my local branch to pay with cash my cc bills? I dont get whats wrong with it? Is chase shutting down for that?
Not IDEAL - bc if this

Chase's cash curbs have been on mortgages, auto loans, credit cards etc.  Primarily consumer products.

Chase hates cash.  They want to charge you negative interests on your deposits.  Cash makes this more difficult.

And
Everything looks like laundering to them.
So . Yes. Not ideal

I think the WIKI is quite outdated. If anyone can update it, it would be appreciated by many members.

I'm finally going to switch from BB to Serve. Which flavor should I get? I'm in NY so no monthly fees for me.

Would the OneVip and the green Free Reloads be the same for me, or there are other benefits to one of those cards?
I think people on this thread have said that one VIP is best for NYers
