Credit Cards / Re: to dispute or not to dispute

as a side point a local merchant once told me he hopes most people dont know that a dispute costs him money because otherwise he is not mochel them. he said very often people make a dispute for not being allowed to make a return even though the return policy is posted

If that really happens so often, can't he take it up with the CC company?

So you would just let it go?

it was a frum store?

Not sure what frum means in this context. It was kosher. The guy at the counter was wearing a yarmulke. I believe the guy with whom I spoke on the phone was not Jewish.

I forgot to mention that I told the guy that I was unhappy and that I would dispute the charge and he said something to the effect of "that's your choice"

I ordered Beef and Broccoli for pick-up. I got home and opened it, it was chicken and broccoli with 2 pieces of beef in it. Receipt says "Chicken and broccoli, add beef."

I call the restaurant, they offer 10% off my next order. That's like $1.50, assuming I even go back there - no thanks. Disputed with Chase online once charge posted. Charge reversed instantly.

Who orders Chicken and Broccoli? I didn't even know that existed.

That's incorrect it would charge the entire amount on you gc and still get the discount.

This doesn't seem to work anymore. Now it seems to do something different every time. Sometimes it leaves 1 cent, but that still doesn't get the 5% discount. Sometimes it gives the discount on only part of the order. Sometimes if you use a different gift card it produces different results.

It's very unpredictable.

This deal comes back around every month. Is it a good price? Should I wait for something better?

Edit: Just realized this deal is only 8 reams, not 10, but my question still stands.

Got that too. What a scam. That's worse than redeeming for cash.

Has anyone figured out a way to do this if your phone does not have NFC?

Just got an e-mail that radpad is charging a $4.95 fee for debit cards :(

Still worth it but annoying
