Well, I'm in the process of trying to cancel, or reschedule, two one-way transcon tickets that I purchased on Wednesday and, just this morning, realized they schedule is a problem.  Hoping to get a sympathetic Priceline agent on Chat.

Any suggestions?

There are reports of them doing it for you if you chat online or call them up. You can try a multiple times.  But personally, IME I was only successful when done before the deadline, when it was a price mistake, and when they made a significant change to my itenerary.

If I have something "reserved", how do I know how likely it is to come back in stock?

It's under "unavailable". Does that mean it's OOS, or just that people have it in their carts (and might lose it)?

If it allows you to join the waiting list, it's still in someone's cart

If your flights tend to be within the US (or within Europe) then BA is king.  In the US they put you on AA planes using (far) fewer points than AA charges for their own planes.  I don't know which partner they use in Europe, but the BA award flights are likewise a great buy.
It sounds like you'd benefit from crediting today's miles to Iberia - for both your bonus and to 'activate' your Iberia account. BA needs no activation to transfer to Iberia and back.

As a person who flies sporadicly to no predictable locations, are Avios a recommended program to credit my AA flights to, considering their longer expiration policy, and their ability to transfer to Iberia?  If yes, I am flying a short TW flight with AA soon, should I credit the flight to Iberia or BA? I currently have no activity on either, and I want to be eligible for transfers between the two.  Also, I will get a small bonus (200) if I show activity on Iberia within 30 days.
I am new to this forum, so I apologize for the freshiness, and for not being able to contribute much yet.

I was perusing this thread, and I realized I may be able to answer two of the questions some of you have asked, so I created an account to do so.

I got an email from the customer service of the promotion stating the following:

"Your 3x5 should be in an envelope and everything, including the destination and return address should be handwritten."

So that means no postcards either, at least according to the individual who dealt with me.  (They didn't accept my reasoning that having no envelopes to open will save them incredible amounts of time.)  Presumably, some will respond with a YMMV or DROPR (DROER).
