Type for first date? Feel like too much going on there to talk? And isn't parking complicated?
TWA hotel is gorgeous and has its place as a solid dating idea.  But not as a first date in my opinion.

What activities did you do in that area? Trying to decide if I should go in that direction or more by gaitlenberg
You can raft the Nantahala or drive the tail of the dragon and if willing to drive more than an hour, you can do the Ocoee instead of Nantahala.  It’s much better but doesn’t flow on Tuesday and Wednesday.

TY and what about safety?
Any neighborhoods to avoid?
You probably want to avoid most neighborhoods in Philadelphia proper.  Exceptions may include most of the northeast, Rittenhouse Square or wynnefield.  Bala is a suburb and a particularly good area.

Lol wasn't asking for shabbos :)
i donít understand what you mean.  This is a great idea for dating.  A terrible idea for shabbos as it is a six hour walk.

Lol and i was so accustomed to car pool that i never had this plan added to my account.
Now its added, to bad i didn't check earlier, i thought i had someone add it for me. Oh well.

This is cheaper than carpool though, you shouldíve had it anyways.

Not to answer anyone upthread specifically just giving a rundown on the new TWA hotel in jfk. Gorgeous hotel lounge open space. It’s not terribly big but there’s places to sit in all corners of the place so walk around before sitting down.
Coffee bar by the main lounge will give you cups and you can fill with water by the fountain. Or buy glass soda bottles by one of the food stands. I must warn you that at this moment it’s a terrible hassle getting into the hotel from the parking garage.
They haven’t built a walkway yet so if u and ur date is up to jumping the barrier and quickly crossing the street, go for it.
Otherwise the official way is to find the elevator to the third floor terminal and walk through the tunnel and around to get in. About 10-13 min walk. Big hassle.
They do have valet right in front of the hotel for  about 50$ they said. I parked in lot for approx 2 hrs cost 25$
But once your there it’s great place. They have an old plane you could go on and explore. It’s a bar inside.
Thanks for the report!  Just a couple of comments.  Wouldn’t recommend for a first date, cuz gonna want to walk all around to see everything.  The coolest bar/lounge is the Connie (inside the airplane).  Not necessarily the most conducive to frum dating though (unless you go when it’s emptier) as the seats don’t face each other and can get crowded in the evening.  Would certainly recommend making a reservation. If you park in T5 short term parking (Yellow lot) which is $5 for each half hour, you don’t need to climb over anything to go the short way.  You basically walk out the way you would drive out and then cross the street when it’s clear.  Still wouldn’t recommend that though. Valet parking is $30 for two hours.  All in all, super cool place, but the parking might kill it.

Nice place for grill:
Ross dock picnic area
https://maps.app.goo.gl/vS7RFsQkXNppboQ69
Been there today and was a bit crowded (due to memorial day holiday) but there is a lot of picnic tables and plenty of space, nice playing area for children, and beautiful view, right under the GWB
(If this part is full you could go here https://maps.app.goo.gl/9XGGEBqPtWX3X8a26 which is a 2-3 min. Drive but same thing and has the same features as the one above)
Timing:
It's about 25 min. Drive from monsey, and 40 min. From Brooklyn, so It is a good meet up point for people from both paces (like we did today)
I approve. Great place.
