Can you keep the Sim or plan active without a monthly fee for the many months you don't use it?
I do t think so, ask them. Maybe they have a prepaid card also

After ordering a new SIM how much time does Golan give you to activate it? If I remember correctly there is some time limit before they start complaining. This is for Golan in Israel, not the Golanusa.
golanusa.net is not a provider, they set you up straight with golan or hot mobile, just for an extra few bucks they mail it to your house so when you land you have a working sim.

There's a thread for sim card rentals. Which might be your best option or go into any store in israel and open a sim card, for example golan or hot mobile and you will need to pay 19 shekal for a sim and then 20 shekal or so for activation and then 29 shekal for the plan, unless you find someone on the forum who has one available for use, that way you don't have to activate nor be busy canceling any phone plans.
i saw cellular Israel advertise a sale, same price as in usa

Just because you don't understand why they do something means you can steal! That was the contract, if the agent who set it up for you didn't t give you the contact, or explain to you when you set up the plans, that your
S and his issue. The pminutes to chul have been the same for 2 years. Beside if you had an honest agent and put your correct email  address you get an email with the contact. Which you probably wouldnt  read anyway.

it's GSM Quad band 2G (850/900/1800/1900)
The sim is not kosher, the requirement the yeshiva has is that it should be a dumb phone. This phone has no internet capabilities at all.
yes it should work

Does Golan still have a 2G network? The dump phone I am looking at for my son only supports 2G.
Does anyone have experience with BLU Tank 3?
Golan works fine with 2g and now time soon are they switching. the  questions in if its quad band and  if he needs a kosher sim it wont work unless its "kashered"
