Try Hadar Geulah. Good food and selection. The location NOT on Malchei Yisroel is easier to shop in but further from your location.it is at 5 givat mosheHadar geulah is a good option - great food - but it seems he is looking for something on the cheaper end, and they are not to cheap at all. And also I found that they sell out very early so make sure to get there early. (They do not offer any sort of delivery...)
Probably salads/dips, roast chicken, schnitzel, maybe some beef ghoulash, some side dishes, dessert, challah (yes, I know, there's a million places to get challah)We ordered pretty much that from them and was very satisfied. Delivered fresh and not messy. Very enjoyable.
Thanks. Looks very nice, pretty expensive, but not really what what we're looking for. For these meals,I would prefer to walk through the shuk and pick out the same things that the locals are enjoying. What type of food are you looking for?
I would appreciate your recommendations for getting take-out food for Shabbat dinner.I would recommend suitejerusalem.com
eLuna has a few advertised here:

The list includes Marvad Haksamim and Roza, both on Emek Refaim.
Are these good? Other suggestions? We'll be staying very close to Machane Yehudah.
