Credit Cards / Re: Dispute Credit pull?
« on: September 15, 2016, 12:22:33 AM »
I just spoke to citi regarding consolidating credit lines, the first indian said that no credit is pulled, when I spoke to the credit department afterwards he told me that he just pulled my credit [unauthorized]
I then tried to have them removed they put me on hold a few times but are not able to remove it once they pulled.
Is that correct? will it be easy to explain it to experian for them to do?

Waste of time. Aside from the fact one credit pull is all but meaningless, existing creditors can pull your credit whenever they want, and the law makes no distinction between a hard pull or a soft pull.

Try twitter. I had a good experience with their twitter team.

I actually started with Twitter, hoping the same thing. They referred me to the TrueBlue phone line, the first two of whom, as I mentioned above, had seemingly never heard of the status match/status challenge. I might follow up with the Twitter people this week, just for the hell of it.

Aside from getting reps that had never heard of a major promotion, the most surprising thing is that JetBlue doesn't consider status matches year-round. I figured they'd always be looking to poach elites from the legacy carriers.

Tried that number but after another 30 minutes on the phone (after yesterday's 30-plus minutes), JetBlue is claiming not to have received my request and they won't let me resubmit it. They just kept encouraging me to spend $1,250 to meet the challenge.

I already booked three international flights on JetBlue, expecting that I'd be able to try out Mosaic. Not real impressed with JetBlue so far an hour on the phone, several email "replies" that were just canned responses, etc. Maybe I should stick with AA and UA.

(As an added bonus, my seat assignment on the first flight seems to have disappeared, and now there are only middles left. I guess I'll be paying $60 for an EMS seat or playing that free-EMS-at-checkin lottery that B6 types talk about.)

You tried calling the mosaic line?

I haven't; thanks. I'll try that later today.

Does anyone have any tips for getting in contact with JetBlue re: this status match offer? I beat the June 30 deadline but never received any confirmation emails. After multiple calls and 30 minutes on hold, JetBlue confirmed the challenge is on my account, but nothing re: the status match.

I thought this match/challenge was a big deal, but the first two reps acted like they had never heard of this one they kept talking about the Virgin promo and then they insisted it ended on May 31, rather than June 30. Then the last rep, who did know about it, didn't offer a way to get my match processed.

I already booked three flights on JetBlue and thought I'd be trying out Mosaic, but neither the web forms nor the phone reps are getting me anywhere. Thanks.
