Granada is beautiful.
ual902 and Yaalili: Where did you stay in Granada? What did you do for kosher food? Did you take a guided tour of the Alhambra or do it on your own?

Why not ask a Halachic authority you trust, rather than here?
Because many do not have a convenient opportunity to ask a LOR, who often has as busy a schedule as we do, leaving little or no mutually convenient time. So we bounce it off our friends, google it or ask on our chat groups. Usually not really looking for a definitive psak Halacha.

Does bottled water, such as Smartwater or Fuji, need to have a hechsher for Pesach? If so, what is the reason?

Haven't been there yet, but based on my trip planning and reading here and elsewhere, I would skip Cordoba; and I think that Malaga is more of a summer beach destination but perhaps with a kosher restaurant in season?

Perhaps it was not a profitable enterprise for TRU, which is why BB isnít interested.

Chevron: I havenít yet been there but it sounds too rushed. I was told by a Jewish tour guide to skip Cordoba because the main site there, The Mesquita, is currently an active church, a Catholic cathedral.Doesnít pay to go to that city just to see the statue of the Rambam.

Ok, I just  corrected the Skymiles account number with a customer service representative via the Amex website online chat (where you can impersonate your spouse without changing your voice). He assured me that both the existing miles and the new bonus miles will credited to that pre-existing account.

Please explain for the uninitiated what you guys are talking about and how it would effect my decision of whether call Delta about the new Delta Skymiles number. Btw DWís existing account only has about 5,000 Delta Skymiles. The new SU will be 50,000+ soon.

But doesnít GoC charge a percentage that would offset the percentage gain from acquiring the points?
For example, if you earn 2% worth of points when you buy the TRU GC, even assuming they are purchased without any additional charge, and if GoC charges 3% to accept the TRU GC, then where is the gain? I just donít understand the numbers, please explain clearly.

There is no reselling. Use the GoC GC as it is intended.  Load it onto their website, which you link to your 529 plan.  Then use the money to pay for college or HS.

I just watched the first episode of the Spanish series, the Ministry of Time, on Netflix, and itís great, thanks! Even better in my opinion than the American series, which I also enjoyed, somewhat different but it is obviously a rip off of the earlier Spanish series. Anyway, great prep for my upcoming trip to Spain in terms of learning history and maybe some language as I read the English subtitles. Gracias Amigos!

I've bought 20k+ in one shot from TRU. No such rule.
And once you buy 20k+ in TRU (gcís I assume) what do you do with them? You earned the MS points but isnít that only worth about 2 maybe 3 %? If so, where is the gain when you sell the GCís for a greater discount than that 2-3% ? So much activity on these threads, I wish I understood this.

I'm being in Israel next week for business and I will have every afternoon from 1:00 and on free, is there anything fun to do there on my own without the wife with me? Or is most stuff geared for couples or friends. For example, a jeeping tour would be weird on my own? or Masada?
Haven't been in IL since my Yeshiva days and don't see it happening in the near future so would love to 'chap arein'.

Thanks!
Visit your old Yeshiva for a reunion, Brochos and an afternoon Seder. Also, imho you can do any tours solo; enjoy, take pics or bring home souvenir for the DW.

She got it ! Instant answer on line. Delta Amex Gold, but only $2,000 CL. However, the offer is spend $2,000 in 3 months for 50,000 miles, and $50 statement credit after first purchase. Plus annual fee waived first year. Sounds good to me.
Question: DWís cc card just arrived, but it has a new Skymiles number on it (she already has a existing Skymiles number/account). My first reaction is to call. However, is there any benefit to her having 2 Skymile accounts?

I canrecommend the original Spanish version of this show, "Ministerio del Tiempo" 3 seasons, should be on Netflix. Interesting stories but with time travel "doors" rather than a machine. A few twists involving "conversos".
Thanks! Is it dubbed in English, or with sub-titles?
