I've bought 20k+ in one shot from TRU. No such rule.
And once you buy 20k+ in TRU (gcs I assume) what do you do with them? You earned the MS points but isnt that only worth about 2 maybe 3 %? If so, where is the gain when you sell the GCs for a greater discount than that 2-3% ? So much activity on these threads, I wish I understood this.

I'm being in Israel next week for business and I will have every afternoon from 1:00 and on free, is there anything fun to do there on my own without the wife with me? Or is most stuff geared for couples or friends. For example, a jeeping tour would be weird on my own? or Masada?
Haven't been in IL since my Yeshiva days and don't see it happening in the near future so would love to 'chap arein'.

Visit your old Yeshiva for a reunion, Brochos and an afternoon Seder. Also, imho you can do any tours solo; enjoy, take pics or bring home souvenir for the DW.

Credit Cards / Re: 50k Delta Credit card sign up

She got it ! Instant answer on line. Delta Amex Gold, but only $2,000 CL. However, the offer is spend $2,000 in 3 months for 50,000 miles, and $50 statement credit after first purchase. Plus annual fee waived first year. Sounds good to me.
Question: DWs cc card just arrived, but it has a new Skymiles number on it (she already has a existing Skymiles number/account). My first reaction is to call. However, is there any benefit to her having 2 Skymile accounts?

I canrecommend the original Spanish version of this show, "Ministerio del Tiempo" 3 seasons, should be on Netflix. Interesting stories but with time travel "doors" rather than a machine. A few twists involving "conversos".
Thanks! Is it dubbed in English, or with sub-titles?

Has anyone stayed with tour plus in Switzerland? I got a good price on a five night stay.
Could you please post a link to a description of this from their website, or wherever you found it?

How to watch for free?
On TV, NBC, Channel 4 in NY. 10 pm March 11, 18, etc.

And if you have TV on Verizon Fios you can watch past espisodes and seasons for no extra charge.

"great idea"
"thanks for the advice"
Etc. Common posts for prep.
Now I'm a little intimidated to say thanks  :-\

The Urban dictionary defines a Troll as:"One who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument." Nothing in the new DDFer's posts fit within that definition.

On the other hand, Cyberbullying is defined as: "The electronic posting of mean-spirited messages about a person (such as a student) often done anonymously." We should all be mindful of this.

Up In The Air / Delta Sky Club at JFK

Is it possible to arrange for a kosher meal at the Delta Sky Club at JFK?

I see that their rules prohibit bringing in outside food. Do they strictly enforce that if I bring my own in? (I want to eat dinner and relax before boarding, and then sleep through the 7+ hour flight if possible).

You will never regret taking one more day off from work on Friday, and staying for the weekend, or whatever it takes to make up the work day or to beg or bribe whoever is babysitting....

After 15 yrs of marriage, finally taking my wife to Europe. She has been all over Europe, but it is my first time.
We will only be having about 3 days Leaving Sunday coming back Thursday. My problem is deciding which area/city

My choices are Madrid/Barcelona, Paris, Rome, Venice.

Looking for a good mix of history, Jewish and otherwise, and availability of kosher food.

I would recommend Venice and Rome, both of which certainly meet your criteria. If you only have 3 nights in Europe, do 2 in Venice and 1 in Rome. I think it's about an hour flight or 3.5 hour train ride between them.

I think that if you are paying for a room at the WAJ, the AARP discount gives you the best rate. Also available at Hilton and affiliates worldwide. No age limit for AARP membership; $16 annual fee.

AARP, no age requirement to join for $16 annual fee.

Thanks! Nice first day, Kudos upon hitting the ground running upon arrival. Pollution is a big problem in parts of China, and varies from time to time. We had it bad one morning in Beijing and the weather reports called it sand storms, which is official double-speak to cover up its true nature. No EPA there. Anyway, that JCC is a great resource for Kosher travelers. Did you stay long enough to make it to the Sunday night Buffet? I guess we will find out in the next installment....

Spent 18,500 x 2 Delta points for 2 way PM flights from Miami to NYC on 3/25.  I have until midnight tonight to cancel, but so far nothing is cheaper. If you were me would you take the gamble that it gets cheaper or just take the loss and move on?
Take a look and see how many seats are still available on that flight, which may indicate which direction the price may go. Otherwise, I would keep the tix, thinking that the price is more likely to go up than down.
