8k from SPG or Amex?
Most of the DPís I remember hearing are from AMEX.

Has that ever actually worked? Up to How much would they actually give?
Yes and YMMV. I think I remember hearing someone getting 8k. They also loan out points which you pay back overtime.

Call AMEX, if you have the card, and ask them. Sometimes as a courtesy they will give you a couple thousand.

Why is this an LA-specific question? There's no POM type meals in LA anyway.
Because I am asking for those who have experience when ordering it for trips leaving from LA... Ií am pretty sure Liederís and Western Kosher are options and was wondering if there were other options or wanted to hear peopleís experiences.

When going on a trip that doesnít have kosher food options where does everyone usually get there double wrapped frozen takeout food from when doing it homemade is not an option?

Thatís great. How long were you able to extend them? By calling Ritz Carlton directly I assume - or Chase?

Called the number on back of Ritz for the Elite Rewards Guest Services and they extended it for another year.

Everyone -

Has anyone ever stayed at any of the kosher safaris in South Africa (Etali / Kings, others)? Anyone know the standard of kashrus?

Also - is the area around Genesis hotel safe to walk around at night?

Thank you

I walked around Genesis (amazing hotel) at night and felt comfortable. Was told by the locals that the crimes donít really occur as much in that area and there are guards around at night.

I'm leaving Kruger in about an hour or so on the way back to joberg is there a shorter way to do the panorama drive? I'd like to make it back before the restaurants close (8ish)
Just made this (Panorama Route - Wiz https://goo.gl/maps/fBR7UxWCrus) on google maps for you of places that I was told to visit or had read about for stops on or near the panoramic route.

I just visited most of them when I was there a month or so ago and will hopefully provide more detail in the trip report. IMO 3 Rondavels View Point was by far the best stop.

Was just able to extend Ritz 3 free nights for 2nd year in row after a couple HUCAís. As usual they mentioned this is a ďone time exceptionĒ...

Any recent knowledge if these two are ok to eat in?

https://cancunkoshercenter.com/menu
http://www.redheifergrill.com/Menu

Can I assume that the prices here http://www.redheifergrill.com/Menu are in pesos and not dollars even though they have the $ symbol?

Both were open and were kosher whilst I was there a couple months ago.

Cancun kosher center is Dag Dag. Do not get the nachos as itís simply cheese sprinkled over chips and put in the microwave. Pizza is actually pretty good but I found both restaurants to be pretty pricey. Like many people here I happened to get the bad end of Red Heifer but many do have a good experience there.

Then the question is flawed, as AA doesn't control TN award availability.

Either way, the answer is no.
I apologize for the flawed question. I assumed that when I mentioned AA that those who have flown or looked into flying to PPT would understand my question. But, I guess not...

Is this from your own experience? Because EF seems to show a lot more availability for the upcoming week. Whereas, as expected, looking out a month there is barely any availability.

Means Air Tahiti booked on AA.
Sorry! Thought this was obvious.

Does AA start opening up availability closer to flight time for LAX-PPT for either Y or J?

Gotcha. Thanks for the response. Thinking about using the Amazon 20% off for $100 off a drone
Was thinking of doing the same! Just not sure I can justify, just yet, having two drones.

That's what I've been seeing. I would be taking amateur pictures/videos and all for personal use. Does it fly as well as the pro? Has anyone tested them both? @SF?
Should fly just as well from the several reviews Iíve read and people Iíve spoken to. As for the image quality I donít know if itís better or worse but if you donít care about pro grade image then Iím sure youíll be fine with whatever comes out on either the Pro or the Air.
