General Discussion / Re: Law School
« on: March 23, 2020, 12:46:12 PM »
Im sure nobody is thinking about the incoming class yet. My guess is that if were still wfh, that many firms would defer their class until they can start in the office.

As for summers, there will of course be hiring, but perhaps reduced classes to the huge classes weve been seeing the past few years.

What about the 2020 summers who were supposed to summer in May?
A few people I know who are summering this year have heard from their firms that they are still intending on having the summer program, fwiw.

Does anyone have any info regarding what firms are thinking about incoming associates/summers?

I understand that this may be too early for that, but still curious.

Thanks!

Looks like an indefinite suspension. Not a "for the rest of the season" suspension.
This is not going to be lifted quickly, if at all.

Hi I got the southwest card last year for the free companion pass. Any way to downgrade it to a free card?
You can only downgrade to another SW card, and they do not have a no annual fee card.

it most probably will be used.
The terms require that the item be new.

Bumping this with the start of the new season, if anyone has a T-Mobile plan and is not planning on using their mlb.tv subscription I would be willing to pay $10.

Does anyone have experience using return protection with the Wells Fargo Propel (no annual fee)? The T&C are pretty much the same as what Amex in-house cards have with the same exclusions and limits (300/1k) but the protection is through someone else: Warrantech, an AmTrust Financial Company.
Bump

Thanks. Does anyone know if there are any dps in regards to claw-backs for downgrading (not canceling) a card after utilizing the travel credit for that year (after the first year)?
I don't think so, and it would not make sense for them to do so. Because when you downgrade your annual fee will be prorated for the amount of days you had your platinum, so you technically paid for the right to use the credit during that period.

That being said, this is AMEX, so anything is possible.

Deals/Deal Requests / Nordstrom Rack 20% off promo code
« on: December 05, 2019, 05:23:40 PM »
Nordstrom Rack is taking 20% off orders with promo code dmgifts.

They typically do not have promo codes. May be worth reordering items that were purchased over the weekend.

Assuming this was within 45 days?
Yes. My point is that if used promptly they will refund you no problem, even large amounts.
