Did anyone else successfully fill up?
Just out of curiosity, how many confirmations do you require?

Put them in a room together for a true game of LMS?
If that came to be, could we get hm, cv and cm all in the same room at the same time? I'd buy a ticket for that one!
(no substitutes allowed) hahaha

Are you saying that Dan has not, in the past, held a DO or 2 and invited just who he wanted to attend? I find that very hard to believe. Why all the publicity about it now? It's clear that there is a need for people to go unnoticed on this forum and never be recognized for their willingness to help anyone who asks. The holy rollers (or inner circle) will remain as such and dole out help to whomever they deem worthy. I'm just glad for the people who do help me and for the ones who ask for help and make me feel like I am worth something.

Thoroughly enjoyed your first part of what will be a very loooong TR. It lets us live vicariously through your experience.
Thanks so much for sharing with us!

Who says he knows it's from War Games? Lots of catch phrases become idiomatic in popular culture without people knowing the origin of the phrase. How many times do you quote Shakespeare inadvertently?
If I quote Shakespeare, it's because it is familiar to me because I read the play that the quote was from. How do you quote a line like this without knowing or seeing the movie? I didn't think that line was so popular outside the movie context but I could be wrong.

Were you even born when that movie came out?

Those had shipping fees
Yes they did but I still got $20 or $40 off each order. I did pm several ddf members to ask if they would share their membership number with me but they all said no so I just went ahead and ordered anyway. I wanted to get this over with already.

If an underlying reason for creating this AMEX/SC promotion was to bring in more new members,
I think adding shipping charges onto hundreds of items that previously had Free Shipping is more than an "inconvenience".....
Cutting off 20 & 40 GCs from website more than inconvenient as well.

Bottom line: You want new customers? Make it easy to spend money with you. Don't keep throwing up road blocks to make it more difficult. THAT is stupid.
I think the idea that they had in mind was for people to patronize sam's club not just place orders for the $20 or $40 for free on multiple orders and then head for the hills and not stick with them. Someone there is not stupid and sees what is being done and is trying to stop the bleeding.
