Why should the psak be different?
Who says his psak applies to America? Thereís no such a thing these days as a blanket psak

The ultimate senseless double standard!

Making anything out of the serology reports while refusing to recognize them as proof of prior infection and recovery with a current negative PCR test for purposes of shortened quarantine.

#MostPoliticizedVirusEver
Serology reports can take into account the specificity of the test when you have a large sample size. A single serology result has a much larger room for error

I still don't get why someone who advocates wearing masks is called a moser
Thatís not why heís called a moser, he ran around BP in March and April calling the cops on shuls and posting videos on Twitter. He called into the mayors press conference to ask what they were going to do about it.  This has nothing to do with masks.

remove kornbluth from the equation and the jewish community did plenty of sickening attention-grabbing all on its own.
This is Jesse smollet level. Itís pretty darn clear that he went there to make problems, there was no brutal assault and doesnít seem like anyone even touched him.

The attention grabbing that kornbluh has done at the expense of the Jewish community is sickening.

You're burying your head in the sand rather than addressing the actual issues here.
Weíre you addressing an issue? All I could see was another attack on daas Torah without actually verifying any of the facts.

There's video. Feel free to look it up.
Video doesnít show what you want it to show. Unfortunately you donít care that it doesnít show that since youíve already judged. No video shows kornbluh being touched. Thereís a video of someone hitting Getz with a cone but thatís a far cry from being knocked unconscious and being in critical condition.

Is attacking him justified by Daas Torah? If so, who gives the Psak?
Do you know all the facts? Is attacking everyone on 13th Avenue based on one persons word justified by daas Torah?

So, what's the Daas Torah on assault? Seems to be at least 2 credible cases where it happened.
Credible cases = people whoís views align with yours on the situation and therefore you automatically believe them?

Just gotta say, I love Rabbi Goldberg. I don't always agree with him, but he's principled, articulate, thoughtful, and always explains his position.
Iím a huge fan of his as well.

I'm not sure I'm following. Low-risk people are not told they have to stay home or they will die. They aren't told to stay home at all unless the situation has deteriorated to the point of a lockdown. Lockdowns are a consequence, they are not the go-to reaction to Covid. They are avoidable. I think this is @yelped's point of frustration, along with many others. Why do people feel the right not to be inconvenienced, especially when the consequences of their convenience are the things you describe?
I feel the same way that you do about that point. But there are gonna be really long lasting effects to society. There are millions of low risk people who arenít willing to go get a job and support themselves because they are scared of getting the virus.

I'm surprised by you. Is it really so difficult to have some small adjustments for a year or so to save lives? Are young people so self centered these days that they can't fathom some small inconvenience for the sake of the greater good? Is this the generation we have raised?

This is not directed at you, you just triggered this response.
Boruch hashem a lot of us arenít really inconvenienced.
But there are still a lot of people who are told they have to stay home or else they will die. People who are at a very low risk of getting seriously ill, these people are lucky that right now there are no evictions but what happens when that ends?
All these people who stayed home and went completely broke will be on the streets with a ton of debt and the ones that were advocating for everyone to stay home will be just as well off as they were before.
Youíre gonna tell me there is a difference between lockdowns and normal life? Of course there is, but just ask we donít get the nuance and want to live normal lives, there is the flip side of people that donít get it and are unwilling to leave their houses, get a job and support themselves.

When a vaccine is in wide circulation itís pretty clear that what minimal restrictions there are in place on a communal level will be lifted
Unfortunately I donít believe that will be the case. We will see in April 2021 if the legislature grants an extension to Cuomoís powers, if they do then this may never end. Cuomo loves his masks

Unless he brings in troopers to forcefully empty buildings. Not sure the *legality* of that though. DOH will be an absolute joke.
Cuomo couldnít care less about the law. He will just sign a new executive order which he calls laws even though they couldnít be further from it.
