had hertz rental from LAX for 5 days returned on 1/28 used free day certs. i didnt take out any additional coverage. i put the card on my Amex MB Plat. I just received email that damage was found on vehicle. I have nothing to hide i didnt get into any accident and as far as i know i didnt get hit. How do i go about taking care of this. Id appreciate any help i can get
If you really have no idea what they are talking about, the you can deny the charge, call your crdit card company
and tell what happen, like that they can  close that card before hertz charges you!

Does anyone know if there is a one way fee from park slope to coney island if I booked it with points?
Which ever worker from hertz is logging you out, will have to put into the system that you returned it to the psrk slope location and then move the car in the system back to his location, because the system will automatically count it as a one way.

I recently had a flight from ord to lga, and about half hour before landing the pilot got on the mic and said that due to poor visibility he can't land in lga and had to land in Philadelphia, and because of that I had to rent a car to NY.  I was wondering if I can get money from the airline because of this, or since it was bad weather it's my lost?

What you can try doing is, tell them you want to sign up for their investment section, and that I belive is open to the public.  And with that you should get a Usaa number.  Let us know how it goes.

The old Hertz CV of 04vx0001 expired at the end of 2013.
The new one is 04vx0002.
What benefit does this coupon give you?

Brooklyn, NY – Brooklyn Borough president Eric Adams is calling a press conference at Three O’clock this afternoon in front of Brooklyn Borough Hall to respond to the NY Posts Heinous justification of the Stark Abduction and killing.

Borough Hall is located at 209 Joralemon St. Brooklyn, NY.

We call on all members of the Jewish community to make your business to get there, and show your disgust with the NY Post.
The only for this protest to really have an effect would be if the same amount of people who at the levaya yesterday would come out today and make a statement!

And for those of you who have virtual credit cards which can be set a limit on them,  are recommended to use them with this company

Freedom pop gives all customers 500mb of free Internet a month, is great for traveling and in case your Internet goes down.  I have had this peace for close to a year now and I am happy with it.  Although you have to make sure not to go over your set amount because that's where they make their money.  But there is an option in your account setting to make it does not automatically give more Internet when you come close to your end amount.  Make sure to check it.

As a public service post I'll add a tip:
Avid hertz renters love premiums, because many of us use points, and vouchers, and want to maximise them by getting the best car possible.

A common issue, you need a premium today, but there are no premiums available.

Solution: similar to the solution put forth for getting cheaper daily rates. Book the premium for the next day and modify it slowly backwards. I find it easier to reserve for the next day, modify it to the last hour of the location for today, usually one modification doesn't work, and then finally to your preffered hour.
If you can't get it to your preffered hour but you've gotten it at least to your preffered day, (which sometimes happens) you can call in, and have them change it. Its always worked for me.

This is also how you push off your reservation to a later hour when it doesn't let you select a premium for later even though you have it reserved for now. Say from 2pm to 5:30pm. For that a call will take care of it.

I hope this helps the DDF'ers who like getting the nicer cars.
I have often been preconfirmed into extremely nice cars due to no premiums being available.
But u find that many hle don't carry premium, I'd that correct?

Over the past few months many stories have come to my attention of people swiping for companies or people, and getting scammed to the tune of $100k+ each.

I'm not saying you can't offer to put something on your credit card for someone, but be smart. Even the most honest trustworthy people can hit a rough patch and be unable to pay back.

The specific stories I've been told were of out right scammers. Some had a great reputation, and were part of a community.

Bottom line - At the very least, consider swiping for someone an investment with risk. Don't put down more money than you can afford to lose. Even million dollar companies go under. Ask yourself, are you really willing to risk $20-50k and up for a few points?

If you believe you can trust someone, you should still have a hard limit in the range you can afford to lose, and don't go over it. The guy has truckloads of cash? Then let him prepay you, or put the money in escrow.

This is a very serious matter. Lives have been ruined. You've been warned.

Please don't PM for details. They won't be answered
+1000 and thanks for posting, I am sure it will help some people reconsider for the future!

According to the T&C's the reservation must be made before Dec. 2nd. The rental must be anywhere from Dec. 2nd to Feb. 14th. Maximum rental is 14 days.
Please post the link to the T&C.

So I signed up for T-Mobile, went to Canada and South America, came back to the US, and cancelled all for $47. T-Mobile did not give me any issues when I asked to cancel 20 days after I signed up. It was very good experience.
Did you use the data there, and how did it go?
