Credit Cards / B&H Payboo Card
« on: May 06, 2019, 06:32:02 PM »
Nobody likes to pay sales tax, but everyone must pay sales tax! B&H, and only B&H, has the solution to the sales tax issue.

Tomorrow, May 7th, B&H will be making a game-changing announcement, and as a loyal customer, I’d like you to be privy to some inside information in advance that will change your shopping experience forever.

Nearly one year ago, the Supreme Court ruled that out-of-state retailers must collect sales tax on internet sales. This, of course, included B&H. For 46 years we have been committed to providing unparalleled customer service, and so we began the tedious process of implementing a way to eliminate the impact this ruling would have on our customers.

We are now ready to launch “Payboo”, the solution to the sales-tax challenge. Tune in tomorrow for details on how to become a part of “Payboo”!

I know you have many shopping choices for creative gear and consumer electronics, but with “Payboo”, there will only be one best choice: B&H!

I look forward to a continued great business relationship and remember, at B&H, the customer always comes first. That’s why we’ve created “Payboo” to solve the sales tax impact for you.

I think this deserves its own thread even though it's related to cellphone unlocking. I don't know what to title it since I don't know the exact name of this type of hardware. I'm just using names of ones that seem quite popular.

I just found out about these tools 3 weeks ago. They seem like extremely useful tools. It's kind of a cool feeling to find out about something which I think is relatively unknown. I finally know how all the companies unlock phones and remove from blacklists... I'm totally new to it and so far just got bits and pieces of information.

Does anybody have any experience using these types of tools and can give us a summary of how it works?

Some questions I have:

Do I need a box or can I use the software "Samsung tools" without it?

If I can use the software standalone what can I do with the software?

It seems like each box needs a smart card of some sort for activation and it won't work without getting one from the company, is that correct?

It also seems like you need to buy credits from the box company in order to do stuff with the box. Is that for everything or only certain functions like network unlocking?

Are there any free options?

Is Uni Android tool the same thing as a box just an online version?

I think I saw that some of these tools can remove the Knox security on Samsung phones. Is that true? Does that mean that filters that use it can be disabled?

And finally how did you learn how to use these tools?

Tech Talk / Do you use browser notifications?

Do you use browser notifications on any website?

I personally don't use it for any websites at all. The idea of getting tons of nonimportant notifications seems annoying. I guess it carried over to any website so I automatically click no for any notifications without even considering what they will be sending them for.

Usually they have a 10 article limit. Some say incognito mode is a workaround. I never got it to work with incognito.

Offers free 72 hour passes to their site. You need a NY times account then just click on the redeem button and it will automatically activate it (if you're logged in).

Deals/Deal Requests / Unlimited talk and text $4/month
« on: February 27, 2019, 12:24:55 PM » has an unlimited talk and text for $4. That plan is only for Sprint phones. Higher priced plan also works on ATT phones.

You can also get a free Sprint Alcatel flip phone with their $24 plan. Doesn't seem like there's any minimum amount of months needed. Pretty good deal just for that. One eBay they're ~$45

Saw on SD that it doesn't look like they have an option to port out a number so don't port in any.

Obviously same warning as always, don't rely that this will last.

So recently I was browsing domain names. I found that basically any numeric name up to 9 digits long were being classified as premium domains but selling for under a dollar. On namesilo they're 77 cents and on namecheap they're 85 cents.

On namesilo they weren't clear if that's for every year or only the first. But on namecheap they clearly state that even renewals are that price.

Saw this on SD. Don't expect these type of companies to last long but get it as long as it lasts. I guess it would be good for someone that doesn't use a lot of minutes.

500 minutes or text with 100mb data. I think it's NON-VOIP service over att, which is much better than freedompops VoIP.

It doesn't seem to be owned by FreedomPop or ringplus based on this
