Anyone care to comment on recent experience going over the border from Eilat for one night to Taba to stay at a Taba hotel?  I see there's an Egged bus from the city to the border but what then? Any border fees? How much time does it take to cross the border? How is getting from border to the hotel and back?  Any problems bringing tefilin and a tallis? Any safety issues? Do they give you a new tourist visa when returning to Israel with 90 more days? Any issues crossing at night? Thanks

Its no big deal you just get to the border with your car and park there or take a taxi which should be around 40-70 shekels from hotel zone eilat
border fees are 100 shekels and its only if you have luggage, most of the times it shouldn't take long to enter from Israel to taba as you can probably use the machines but on the return it might take longer, all hotels are within a 5 min walk from the border i would recommend taking Movinpick as its the nicest from the 3 hotels,no problem bringing along tallies and tefillan, no issues crossing at night, about the 90 day visa if you have already overstayed they might make you wait on the return for a while and most probably wont extend the B2
