L'kovod Purim.

I just got off the phone with American. They canceled the ticket without any issues - they were actually very nice about it and kept on apologizing. The miles posted back into my account instantly, too.

I ended up booking the Continental flight, which is actually better for me since it leaves two hours earlier than the original flight.

except that he booked as two separate tickets they prob wont let him cancel both

The two tickets were for two people on the same flight. The return flights are on JetBlue.

Up In The Air / AA screwed up my flight times - what are my options?

I booked two one-way first class  tickets on AA about two months ago using 25k AA miles per ticket. There were no saver awards available, so first was the same price as coach.

Here's the itinerary:
EWR 6:00a > ORD 7:30a
ORD 8:20a > SLC 10:40a

I was checking my AA account this morning, and lo and behold American had changed all the flight times. Problem is, I have to be in SLC as early in the day as possible, and the new itinerary just won't work.

EWR 10:10a > ORD 11:35a
ORD 12:40p > SLC 2:55p

So what are my options now? There an AA flight going through DFW that would work out fine, but there are no FC awards available, only anytime coach at 25k each. Not that first would be so amazing, but I should at least get what I originally bought.

Is there any chance that they'll let me cancel altogether and refund my points? I found a Continental/United flight this morning for $248 with better timing - definitely a better value than blowing 50k miles on AA.

And finally, what's this business of changing flight times so radically and not bothering to let the passengers know? If I hadn't logged in to check something else, I would've found out in the airport. I've never had anything like this with any other carrier.

Download the app to your phone.  You should be able to create a new account from your phone without needing an invite (at least you used to be able to....)

No luck. It kept hanging.

For pc, you can try this. . .
Don't want to post my own link as it contains my name, but here is an invitation from @venmo YG- lemme know if this works for you.

This worked - thanks!

Does anyone still have an invite code available?

There isn't much depth perception (the runway seems like it's 100 feet long), so maybe it's the camera position/angle and it isn't as steep as it looks.

Super-telephoto lenses (which was likely used here, given the angle) have a 'compression effect', eliminating perspective and depth perception.

One way/Round trip: One way
Non-stop/Maximum stops/Any: Any
From:  SLC
Departure dates: 06/14/12
Class: Coach/Business
Seats: 2
Alliance/Airline: OneWorld using Avios

I would prefer coach, but could go business if I must. Stops are fine.

Ditto on that. Also went on the Dealfind gift card, and was very happy with both the service and the food.

Highly recommend the chocolate fondue for dessert - it was wonderful.

I've had this camera for about a year now. The picture quality is amazing, but the operation is maddeningly slow. I wouldn't suggest it for shooting kids. In fact, I just had a baby and bought the Canon S95 to replace it.

If you're fine with waiting a second from when you press a button until something happens, go for it, it's a really good deal. It's worth noting that actual shooting (shutter lag) is not slow at all, it's just menus etc. that are slow.

It does shoot in Raw the only issue I would say it is very slow in low light situation

but for that price it is a steal

Correct about the RAW shooting, but if you have to wait ten seconds for the file to process (even with a fast card), it hardly seems worth it. I shoot only RAW with my SLR, but on this I shot around 10 RAW images before I gave up.

There's a place in Boro Park on 15th and 41st with pretty good prices. I've done a couple of pictures there and was very happy.

Tech Talk / Re: Google Text Parenthases
« on: October 02, 2011, 08:38:23 PM »
I have been using Google text for a while to get phone numbers. Not so long ago they added parenhases to area code in text. As a result I cant call diresctly from text. Any ideas how to change that? I tried finding way to contact google but seems impossible!

Forward the text to yourself and delete the parentheses before sending.
